    Tourists travel in India and come to Nepal with a notion that people will try to scam, why do they forget that despite being similar in culture it’s not the same… the people of Nepal are more honest … the scammers you might come across in the streets of Kathmandu are mostly from India - be it a vendor, people you meet in the streets or even beggars (who can’t even speak Nepali language) …
    It’s a small and developing country- step out of the chaos and go on a trek to enjoy the nature … people come to Nepal to enjoy the nature .. not for super clean cities, wide roads, luxury hotels… etc !!! At least, good to see that you enjoyed the food. Hope you have a nice stay !!

      The chicken you had is local roaster 🐓 and this roaster is just for soup to eat together with rice. It is not like free range chicken where you can expect chunk of meat on it. It is for soup mate. Enjoy the nature and go for local food. And the taxi charge is decent, they pay double for fuel than your country mate. $10 for taxi fare is not expensive though 😃

    • @TallTravels
      @TallTravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      $10 was expensive, I don't spend much time in UK, and even if I did why compare? The real fare is less than half that. He also turned out to be completely useless. I recommend people install the Indriver app when they arrive at the airport and use that.

    • @TallTravels
      @TallTravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thegorkha145 Are you a taxi driver? 😅 The normal price for that ride was Lee than half what I paid, and it was the worst taxi driver I had in years, which made it VERY expensive. I don't live in UK so need need for the comparison 👍

    • @shishirparajuli3920
      @shishirparajuli3920 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TallTravels yeah maybe some taxis who are need of money drive you cheaper but even we locals pay around that price and that was big taxi 😁 Have a good trip mate. My tips for you is take local guide with you who can help you to explore more.

    Hey Tall,
    I am glad you made it to Nepal safe and sound. I am a new subscriber to your channel and I totally love your sense of humour. I am from Goa-India. I have to say you still have much to see and experience in South Goa. You should have stayed here for a bit longer I could take you around. Unfortunately, I watched your video the day you were leaving. South Goa is more peaceful and relaxing, there are a few good restaurants where you can enjoy some delicious Goan-Portuguese cuisines. Since it's monsoons there are not many activities happening in Goa right now but, during summers it's alot of activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, banana rides, yatch rides, exploring islands, birding, etc. Beaches in south Goa are much cleaner, some of which are not explored by the local Indian crowd as we Goans prefer to keep it that way for the betterment of our environment also because, Europeans understand the meaning of cleanliness which is why we have a few good guests who are visiting us since several years and their children and their grandchildren since that's the relationship between them and us. Much love and prayers from Goa-India. Drink warm water after half an hour of consuming a meal that will keep your stomach in check. Since you are in Nepal do visit Pokhara. Stay blessed!! Jesus loves You❤️

    Next time please use your hand to have a good mix of one or more vegetable or meat with rice and eat it. It will be extra yummy.😊 For the record Nepalese doesn't like to beg so most of the beggars are from India who migrated here. Tips: Always bargain to half price for all clothes on simple shops and Taxi always charges extra specially to tourist so be careful and use apps like In Driver or Pathao to know exactly how much you should pay. We want tourist to have a good time in Nepal not to get stressed with extra charges. All restaurant gives free refills if you order Dal Bhat except some fancy one. Be careful at Thamel because people will come to you saying they want to practice English language and takes you to buy something. Have a great time in Nepal. Enjoy 😊😊Namaste🙏🏻

      Kathmandu and Pokhara are densely populated with a lot of commotion.
      You actually can not experience the Real Nepal unless you go to higher altitudes.
      My suggestion is that you go for the famous
      Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
      If you donot want to trek till baseecamp, at least visit Ghandruk and stay in one of the homestays.
      Ghandruk is about 2 hour jeep drive from Pokhara and actually most sough after destinations even for city people!
      Owned by local people, much of the Ghandruk's restaurants donot have expensive rates unless someone orders a coffee or a packet of lays.
      Local food is very cheap and the sanitation is something I will always admire from my own experience!
      Let us say, you donot visit Ghandruk..then well. at least go to Australian Base Camp.
      More: The trek also has some big streams and waterfalls, and cloud leopards are seen at certain seasons.
      Monsoon is a bit slippery but what harm does rain do to a British lad, innit? :))
