I like this card from a strategic standpoint when I'm against it. I see my opponent play it, it makes me have to think and trade smarter, otherwise I'm outvalued way too quickly. Few cards do that, and I appreciate that at least.
It's strong in arena because pre-buffing your minions that you wouldn't normally play with in Ranked, gives you more leverage all through out the game. Like you said its not that great later on in the match, but its a one drop so it can be easily dropped on a 7 or 9 you are saving up.
As the game continues to get more cards I think this card will actually create a stronger priest archetype that builds entirely for hard removal and steal for higher cost cards. I can almost see Lorewalker inclusion or a mill priest eventually happening that punish spell heavy decks. Thoughtsteal could be strategically played in case of jade idols.

Gadgetzan is probably one of the strongest expansions, but it's also one of my favorites in a while. Jades is a gimmick I really enjoy along with the 1/1 buffing paladin cards, thought they're over played because they're not just fun but also really good. Sadly, this expansion also gave us Pirate Warrior Face, which I hate and think is boring. Its a give and take.
Yeah you know what was a better expansion? Whispers of the Old Gods. That was a great expansion that left the meta constantly changing for months afterwords. It didn't solidify right away like this one did.
BIGTOAST75 Pirates are the single worst thing in Hearthstone, maybe ever. There's never been a deck as foul as aggro pirate warrior, it's made for people with empty skulls.
Question to the Kripperino, on the off chance he/you reads comments: Since you are always harping on the concept that 1- and 2-drops are OP for their cost, would it be worth trying to prove your point by drafting an arena deck by picking the lowest-cost minions, regardless of how useful they actually are? Just a random thought.
Potential tempo isn't strong enough to be good. The only way it is good is if the paladin has solid card draw and minions with strong effects that have their stats dropped as a result, like Horserider.

Hey Kripp, I think that we, as a community, allow you to post other games, be it Shadowverse/Faeria or other non-CCG/non-Blizzard games. Everyone with some knowledge on card games have realized that Hearthstone is terrible around GvG. Now even scrubs are dropping the game since Karazhan. You're obviously not having too much fun with it anymore. Play what you want to play and don't fear the teenager downvotes for the first month.

I think a way to balance that is overload 2 the following turn, then overload 1 the turn after. Technically that makes it a 4 mana 3/4 that you can play on turn 1, but meh.

I realy do not like handbuff mechanic. It very inconsistent right now, and that's good, because when this become consistent, and Blizzard have history of pushing wierd mecanics with OP stuff - discardlock, It become a cancer for all cancers. 2 drop 4/4, then 3 drop 6/6, 4 drop 9/9, because why not?

I have fun if i win but i also have fun if i have a fair control game against another skillful deck... thats fun in my opinion... i really think i could get a lot higher if i only played against other skill Decks because i am pretty skilled... i play this game since early beta and so i have learned a lot but its just frustrating if your skill just gets wrecked by aggro cancer decks
