Hi John and Bobbie! Well I have been to the farmers market many times. I never knew this was there. How long has it been there. There were all little stores across the street. It sure looks like a nice place. Bobbie your lunch looked delicious. Thank you for bringing us along with you. So until next time God Bless you both and have a Blessed day tomorrow and stay safe my dear and Special Friends. ❤❤❤

There are 35 thousand cities and towns in the United States. And thousands of tourist towns throughout the country and along the thousands of miles of seashores. It would take many lifetimes to visit all these places. Each state has many many great places to visit.
I want to go to Sugar Maple Smorgasbord one day and I’m only a day trip over the Appalachian mountains range from it in SW Pennsylvania. About a 5 hr drive SE of me.
I haven’t been East over the mountains to Pennsylvania Dutch country for a long time. That windmill place before you hit Gordonville were willing to give me a sample of shoo fly pie but molasses pie - not sure. In Ohio, closer by me & flat, they have 1840 End of Commons General Store) in Mesopotamia, Ohio, is Amish Country. They have fruit/cheesecake or fruit only homemade fry pies, homemade Whoopi pie and the tastiest bacon cheese hamburger I ever tasted. 10K and expanding sq ft place with penny candy and childhood toys, huge selection of glass bottle sodas, baking utensils and bulk goods and souvenirs with a separate homemade candy store building. Supposedly they now have a goat petting farm and panning for gems section too. I don’t know these people at all but I picked up a Boston puppy in that area in March 2021.
The windmill place has closed down. The family retired and it is for sale. Sounds like you have had some great experiences with the Amish area stores. Thanks for the comment.😎😎
@@jbinthehills there is so much to locally to see. You don’t have to travel more than 200 miles one way and I enjoy driving. I have been to the Sugarcreek, Dover, Berlin OH area many times. I saw your Berlin vlog. From me It’s a straight shot west with a little slant South. I’ll be going there again, however instead of taking Route 30 I’ll go on Route 22 thru Cadiz and catch 250 up to New Philadelphia. I wonder if that store in Sugarcreek that is on main corner is still open. She has/had such unique eclectic items and antiques store. My favorite winery is Breitbach in Dover. I think you were in Morgantown Cracker Barrel to show Christmas items. I loved that snow globe gold scroll glass tree that lights up. I have gold, gold glitter and white season color scheme. I haven’t been to Morgantown since 1990s with Sierra Club hike members when it was 95 degrees and we went to Cheat River and Lake. Straight bushwhacking for like 8-10 hours but I was way younger then.
I've been to Bird in Hand many years ago, we loved it and we tasted so many goodies while we were there. I've definitely had Shoofly Pie, love it and haven't had it in forever, but the memory is still sweet. Thank you for taking us along.
What a wonderful Charming place!! That building is so attractive. The flowers in that wall area was absolutely beautiful!! Sea of red. I couldn't put my finger on the name of those tall plants with leavy green with red!! Striking. Ooh my Loved one had what they called gurd. He was in the hospital a wk with that. He had to take 2 pills daily for it. No more fried foods Dr told him. No coke drinks. Watch the coffee. Thank you for taking me along. always enjoyable!! Have a safe holiday!!
I'm not sure what the red tall flowers were, but they were beautiful. John doesn't get a lot of heartburn usually when he drinks that root beer. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎😎
Forgot a beautiful resteraunt and bakery Love wraparound porch!!! Second floor area with all the flowers!!!! Right off the road to get a quick bite and shop!!!
What a little compound!!! Bird-in-hand bakery!!! Love they had a lunch and dinner menu!!! Love that thick broccoli soup and cheddar bacon sandwich Bobbi! The southwest chicken looked equally as good!!! All the baked goods were decadent. Would love dozen donuts of one flavor!!! Coconut cake, a little shop for a souvenir or two!!! to take back to hotel. But the petting zoo was what got me! The corn maze plus a little playground for kids! Definitely a family friendly Cafe and bakery!!! They have it all!!! Nice
It is a very family-friendly restaurant . The food was very good. There are so many goodies to choose from. We did the corn maze. It was a lot of fun Thank you for watching. 😎😎
The flowers are so beautiful! All the food looked delicious. The prices were also reasonable. We definitely need to check it out on our next visit! Great video!
Hi John and Bobbie. I loved this video. That place looks amazing. If I lived near this place I would probably go there every week. So many options to eat. Those flowers are so beautiful and the porches and shop❤️
It was great meeting you guys too! I love broccoli soup & that broccoli soup looks super good the carrot cake was an excellent choice everything looks delicious bird in hand bakery & cafe is hands down one of the best in Lancaster as always great review & video you guys have an excellent long weekend
One day we drove down a long driveway to buy some local Root beer. We weren't a big fan. I guess were so use to all the sugar they put in the commercial brands and it was strong like you said. Like medicine strong
Hi guys Happy Saturday Labor Day weekend. What a lovely way to start your day sitting outside with beautiful flowers and delicious food at Bird in Hand Love Amish country and love your choice of sandwich John. Looks so nice, Thank You for sharing. It's been many years since I've been to Amish Country Pennsylvania and I am very pleased to see it hasn't changed much. So glad you enjoyed and shared. Looking forward to your next video.
At first, I was not going to get the soup. Because it was about eighty eight degrees outside this day. But I am glad I did. The root beer is stronger than the store bought. Thanks for watching. 😎😎
@jbinthehills I don't think you missed to many places in the area. Our good friends own the Red Caboose Motel and I know you did a video on both the Motel and restaurant. I saw it and told them about it and they watched it. They were very happy and pleased with your review.

Those flowers 💐💐 absolutely gorgeous! I stopped the video numerous times just to look at them! Those tall red ones 😲 Great opening shot, John with the horse and buggy!!!!
Happy Saturday! Looked like a good time. Have yet to visit there, hopefully correct that next year. Food looked delicious. Thanks for taking us along. Safe travels! 😊
J&B, just the cake and ice cream 🍨would had been as far as I went lol 😂, the Amish sure know how to cook and bake 👍🏻. Thanks J&B awesome video. From Kentucky 😊.
Love watching yalls videos! Keep up the great work! You guys always seem to have something new and entertaining to watch everyday. Thank you so much for sharing!
I love all the quaint towns in Lancaster area. The wide open fields are of vegetation and fruit trees are spacious. You don’t get that crowded people walking up and down the sidewalks as in larger cities with high volume of tourists and trying to find parking. Regional food is a must try. We always had coolers on hand to take back meats and other fresh produce and bake goods. In my area Whoopi cakes are simply called Gobs. The inside of the Farmer’s Market is phenomenal but I believe no filming permitted inside because Amish shuns away from photography, respectfully so. Yes, John is 100% correct about shoofly pie because it is very sweet, crumbly and has molasses in the filling. Homemade root beer is something that you love or dislike. My husband and I had glass quart bottles, caps & a capping device. I gave away some of the bottles and the had advertising on the bottle so they were considered collectibles Glad to see you both no matter where your travels go, John, hamloaf or ham balls next? lol 😊
We have thought about taping the farmer's market, but you're right. There are so many Amish people. It is a busy place. John loves Shoofly pie. Thanks for watching. 😎😎
This place is beautiful!! And the food looks wonderful too!! Ive been exposed to shoo fly pie my whole life and I love it!! I even used to make it years ago. I will have to get back to making it but with a sourdough twist!!
I've been there before. We just got items from the bakery because we got there late! I remember a delicious chocolate chip angel food cake and chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. I love shoo fly pie and whoopie pies. Will have to try. The ice cream looked delicious especially the interesting flavors. Like the second floor seating! John I love your Quiet Riot Tshirt. Bobbie your sandwich looked like something I'd love.
There are so many baked goods to choose from. I love beautiful flowers. John and I just saw Quiet Riot about a month ago. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎😎
Everything look good I only had breakfast there and it was good I do stop in and get their coconut cake it’s delicious. My favorite donuts in Lancaster are shady maple they have the best.
You call it heartburn I call it acid indigestion or acid reflux. I've been getting it my entire life from many different kinds of food. I take medication for it, because the acid eats away at your esophagus and can lead to Barrett's esophagus and esophagus cancer. I can't sleep completely flat or the acid indigestion acid reflux will come up in my throat in the middle of the night and start choking me. Some of the foods that can trigger it are desserts, pies and cakes, chocolate, ground beef and many others and certain drinks.
@@karlaruter3221 You are so welcome because it is not fun to deal with. You must solve the problem now before it leads to esophagus damage. Anti acid tablets or Maalox may help, but you need to call your family doctor and tell him that you get a lot of acid reflux and they will give you medication for, its not expensive. If you take the medication you will never ever have it again. I finally went to the doctors for it years ago because the acid reflux was coming up in the middle of the night and choking me and I could not breathe. There were many times where I nearly choked to death. Also keep your head and your back on a slant up while you are sleeping and don't eat any desserts or chocolate before you go to bed or at night. You can look up the foods that trigger it and you can look up the foods that neutralize it.
Apple cider vinegar works for acid reflux. No side effects like with medicine..also important to know, acid blockers deplete magnesium from the body. As well, when you’re depleting acid from your stomach, you begin the proverbial onslaught of a compromised digestion process that will end up causing more problems. If you know certain foods, drinks, etc irritate your stomach, then change your eating habits..I did for type two diabetes..feeling better, lost weight, and on no medication. Best of health😊
John, I thought you would order the bologna or cuban and Bobbie would order the chicken salad! Y'all mixed it up good today! Bobbie I'm curious how you going to decorate with the gingerbread boy and girl. Be sure to show us. I like to get ideas from you! Y'all do a fantastic job decorating..
We did trick everyone today. John was going to get the cuban or bologna sandwich. But he decided to get the one that they suggested. I was going to get the stuff tomato with the chicken salad. I will put the gingerbread people in my kitchen at Christmas time.😎😎
Looks awesome! I have stopped in before for baked goods but will need to go back for the cafe food. If you haven’t already, check out Emma’s Popcorn and Lapp Valley Creamery out that way. We got a crepe from Emma’s that was to die for, and Lapp Valley has awesome food and ice cream!

Beautiful building, too bad it's on such a noisy Highway. I don't know how these people afford to build these massive structures. I would have definitely got the carrot cake. I don't like shoofly pie or whoopie pies at all. Overall a very nice experience. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🙏🏻🌹

Happy Saturday! Looked like a good time. Have yet to visit there, hopefully correct that next year. Food looked delicious. Thanks for taking us along. Safe travels! 😊
You are welcome. We appreciate you watching. Have a good weekend, Michael. 😎😎
J&B, just the cake and ice cream 🍨would had been as far as I went lol 😂, the Amish sure know how to cook and bake 👍🏻. Thanks J&B awesome video. From Kentucky 😊.
They do know how to bake. It was hard to choose between the baked goods or the ice cream. Thanks for watching. 😎😎
Love watching yalls videos! Keep up the great work! You guys always seem to have something new and entertaining to watch everyday. Thank you so much for sharing!

@@jbinthehills Your welcome! You guys rock!
Everything looks good especially the desserts and they're root beer is so good you can tell it's homemade
John loves their root beer. The carrot cake was very good. 😎😎
Was at pastry paradise last night, not far from bird in hand cafe, she makes homemade cupcakes and cakes, got 4 pumpkin cupcakes, man they were awesome
I've never heard of that place. I will have to put it on our list.😎😎
@@jbinthehills it’s in paradise, down a little further past revere tavern on business route 30
I gave away some of the bottles and the had advertising on the bottle so they were considered collectibles
Glad to see you both no matter where your travels go,
John, hamloaf or ham balls next? lol 😊
We have thought about taping the farmer's market, but you're right. There are so many Amish people. It is a busy place. John loves Shoofly pie. Thanks for watching. 😎😎
Wonder if the bakery has my favorite pie - rhubarb? Yum yum.
I dont remember if they had rhubarb pie or not. We appreciate you watching. 😎😎
This place is beautiful!! And the food looks wonderful too!! Ive been exposed to shoo fly pie my whole life and I love it!! I even used to make it years ago. I will have to get back to making it but with a sourdough twist!!
The flowers are beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside. Great place for lunch and dessert. 😎😎
My favorite Shoo Fly pie is at the Kettle Kitchen Canning store in their Bakery section
I have had it from Kitchen Kettle its very good also.😎😎
Food looked delicious 😋
We thought everything was very good. Thanks for watching. 😎😎
Everything looked really good 😊😎
Everything was very good. 😎😎

Thanks for sharing this. I've been trying to figure out why I have been having trouble 😊
I understand that one I’ve had the same thing all of my life also 😊
@@nancybarnes9825 I'm sorry you had to put up with it. 👍🏻🙏🏻✌🏻
John that will be a Rootbeer to make a float out of.
You are right about that. Next time we go, we will have to bring some root beer home and make a float . Thanks for the idea.😎😎
I will put the gingerbread people in my kitchen at Christmas time.😎😎
Great meals and to complete the meal get a dessert to eat .
Too many baked goods to choose from. Thanks for watching. 😎😎

We have been to both places. We have a video on Lapp Valley Creamery. Thanks for watching. 😎😎

When are you both going to Busch Gardens the old country Williamsburg Virginia? They have a big Halloween event coming up, it may have already started I'm not sure.
We were planning on going this year. I don't know if we will make it or not.😎😎
Have you ever eaten at Katie's Kitchen yet? It is Amish owned and real Amish food served and made by Amish. It is on Route 896 not too far from Sight and Sound
We have a video on Katie's Kithen. The food was very good. 😎😎
@@jbinthehills somehow I missed that one. I will have to go back and look for it in your library
Hey J&B! Just curious, what is the hat that J wears in this video? Love the logo!
The symbol on John's hat is a sickle. It is from the Tennessee Wraith Chasers. 😎😎
@@jbinthehills wow! So cool. I thought it looked like something spooky:). You two should do some paranormal investigations on your channel for Halloween!🎃
Best Shoofly Pie in Lancaster County!!!
John loves Shoofly pie. 😎😎
Hopefully while you were here, you went to The Wyomissing Restaurant and Bakery, way better than the Tourist Traps!
We have never heard of that place before. I will put it on our list of things to do. Thanks for telling us.😎😎
@@jbinthehills it's in Reading, PA. I think I mentioned it to you once before.
Another great stop! How do you find all these wonderful places! Everything looked so good! I wanted you cake Bobby! Carrot cake is my favorite.
Thank you. We visited this area at least once a year. I love ice cream cake. I really wanted to try one of the pies, too. But I didn't have any room for it. 🤣 Thanks for watching. 😎😎
@jbinthehills Just love watching you both! And your channel content is enjoyable. Looking forward to more! ❤️👍
live close to there Lancaster is a great place to live overall
Except for the tourist traffic which we got caught in for like 2 hours it was backed up for miles.
It is a beautiful area. 😎😎
Did y'all see the rock slide in Gatlinburg?
No we did not see that.😎😎
Beautiful building, too bad it's on such a noisy Highway. I don't know how these people afford to build these massive structures. I would have definitely got the carrot cake. I don't like shoofly pie or whoopie pies at all. Overall a very nice experience. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🙏🏻🌹
It is a beautiful restaurant. I love all the flowers. It is a very noisy highway. Thanks for watching. 😎😎
Bobby loves her Pumpkin spice?
Yes, I do like pumpkin spice. 😎😎
