Congratulations & really nice arrangement. It might be a weird compliment but thank you for not playing this song any faster. The original French version is possibly one of the most beautiful/romantic songs ever and I’ve always been so mad at people playing it fast. It’s about time passing slowly and separating lovers silently. I can’t see anyone playing Misty or Sentimental Mood at 235bpm! Thank you for respecting that! Great interpretation

I couldn't agree more. I was playing on a gig this summer with another sax player, when I proposed to play "there will never be another you" Lester youngs' versión he looked at me as if I was going to make everyone suddenly fall asleep. That is another song that is no longer played at a moderate tempo, and it's not a happy song, it's a ballad...

Well, let's begin this way: today Chad is my favorite player in so many aspects that it is true to say that is the favorite above all others. Although we all have the same resources (players to listen to), and the Masters are there to guide us, it is important to have somebody in your time life doing something great and fresh for, at least, you feel inspired to pratice. Chad, regards to Brian on the arrangement, love the very first bass line - the little modification is nice. The development of your melodies is just super as you start the improvisation. My sister had a 45 of this, an instrumental, which I played incessantly on a tiny record player. This was in the early 1960’s and I think it was a foreshadowing of my love of beautiful and timelessness in any art form. I consider myself a non-musician, music geek. I ever knew there were lyrics until a few years ago.
BTW was this really recorded outside? The sound quality is outstanding.
