The hand with the coin in it is the daily payout of the animal, it pays out that much in coin icons. If the daily payout for the animal is increased, it is permanent. As an example, the panda makes the adjacent animal it affects payout 4 extra *every* round from then on. The amount can stack as well. (The first dodo removed the animals and thus its hand icon/daily payout was increased making it give 200ish every day from then on)
It also makes the grassland tile (a permanent +1 to hooved creature payout), and musk ox (a permanent +1 to other hooves in the same row) better than they would otherwise seem.
Your items can be sold, if you click on them in the bar on the upper right corner. You could have bought the black market for 4 food and directly sold for 6 food and 100 coins😊 And, i would love to see more of it👍
*reads thumbnail* What a game title. 🤣 *clicks video* Oooh. Cat "GOD" Ranch. I wouldn't mind seeing more content, but I don't it'd do as well as some of your longer series.
Different cat gods, different ranches, different difficulties, different animal sets... It looks like they deliberately baked in a lot of variety to keep things interesting so it'd be good to see you play more of it
@@Retromation My bad, I completely missed that somehow, lol. But yes, that's exactly what I was thinking of. Fantastic game. I'm definitely looking forward to checking this one out. Keep the videos coming!
I just looked into it and the accused game it is copying is "Wild City" another game I have covered, and truthfully it doesn't read as a copy to me. My read is that they are both clearly very inspired by Luck be a Landlord. I played Wild City very recently and it didn't cross my mind once when playing this game. Wild City's entire unique defining feature in the drafting genre is the Dorfromantik inspired tile placing, which Cat God Ranch just doesn't have. Wild City for reference: th-cam.com/video/ch7hn7IwReU/w-d-xo.html
The Wild City developer claimed it on reddit without proof, citing primarily that they talked to a publisher that was in China, and that the developers of this game are Chinese. Which is a flimsy argument even if the games _were_ more closely reminiscent of each other. I hope that unless the developer of Wild City finds a way to prove this, they don't push it further because I don't think it is a good look without proof. I really like Wild City, and think it plays very differently from this.

Half right, it was +6 food and -100 coins. Essentially he'd just be buying 2 cat food for 100 coins.

People, "apparently", and their refusal or inability to tell others where their "apparently" comes from 🙄

@@Retromation gotcha, thanks for clearing that up
Agree on that, it's really way closer to luck be a landlord @@Retromation
Ugh does anyone else cringe when he blank blank?
