At first when you said you were too lazy to walk to the other side of Walmart, I was like get out and walk. Then when I saw the heavy battery I thought good job!! Grammy and I watched together and also loved Agron resting on the countertop.
I was towing about 2800 lbs. with my Tacoma. I had to drop the transmission into sport mode out of overdrive and sometimes one gear lower in order to keep RPM'S down. Make sure and change transmission fluid more frequent than the manual calls for. I think it's every 60k on the Toyota, but I changed at every 30K.
SWEET ! I was just in Arizona . Spent 3 days in Sedona and camped at the Williams KOA and Grand Canyon . Love how you pour with the stove still on the Jet Boil .
New subscriber here via last week’s Larry’s video. Our camping days are on pause now. I had an accident and nine back operations followed. Still healing believe it or not. I also had Covid 2x that left me with serious brain fog. I can’t drive far alone. Need another body in the car. Once this all subsided, we would like to get a Class C. We are retired. Well I had no choice. I like your garden on the go. We may have to do that if no one is home and our son is on his on his on.
Between the 4Runner's 5 speed transmission, pulling a trailer, and climbing hills I think 10mpg sounds pretty reasonable. I don't know about the $7 gas though, what a ripoff!
Maybe try and lighten the trailer and 4 Runner more to get better gas mileage. Those boxes on top give wind drag when you are driving into the wind. We just took our overland rig and Scamp trailer and got horrible gas going but got awesome gas mileage coming back from the Gulf of Mexico.(Head wind going and tail wind coming back). You have great content.
Thank you for this suggestion. I have done so many shake downs on my rig, and I have only the bare min. I have my recovery gear and lighter outdoor stuff up in the top, so I don't think I can downsize much more. 😕 Now that it's been a while (and we've done some passes in CO), I'm actually really impressed by how the 4runner is handling. The majority of my issues were getting my rpm too high. If I go to 3k rpm, I drop down to 7.7mpg, but if I stick close to 2k rpm, I average 10mpg. It's an art! 😂
You are welcome to camp at my 36a parcel in Concho. Great views, private, cell service, might have water (limited). Putting in a toliet, WiFi, and power. @RidgeValleyRanch

Happy birthday to old man Agron! You're looking wholesome, healthy and happy. The new setup suits you guys well.
Thank you!
Found you on “work less”. I admire you full time adventurers. Subbed.

Because of all the offroading I do (in 4wd), I typically already service it every 30k mi. It's so important. 🤗
I just stumbled across your video and enjoyed it very much. You have a new Aussie subscriber.
