While I agree that they need a gofundme, the reality is if the tax laws changed such that you could tax unrealized capital gains, there would be enough money to feed everyone. Heck, there's already enough money, but I won't get too political. Anyway, great story.
Christians take note. THIS is the meaning of the gospel. Feeding the hungry, loving your neighbor, welcoming the stranger. Well done good and faithful servants of Jesus.
Tell that to the rich that don't help this world don't get me wrong I'm not mad but all christian how do you know who does nit help the need of others it's just how you said it
@Pheneria-dv6zw the rich should be helping the poor, and some do. But Christians are called to the standard of Jesus, which means laying down your life for others. Many Christians are engaged in helping and loving their neighbors, but way too many are engaged in politics, banning books, condemning LGBTQ folks, disparaging the homeless, and more. None of that has anything to do with the gospel of Jesus. We need to apply the requirements of Matthew 25's sheep and goats.
Your message if for those that have not christians. Your wording assumes that christians don't give and that they have it to give. Both assumptions could be wrong.

@@sweettreatsoverload4296as a christian myself, i know lot's of christians who look down on homeless. My husband saw me giving a homeless man some money (it wasn't much but it was all I could've afforded) and he told me never to to that again. And his mother is an assistant pastor. Him and his brothers are more dedicated to church than me. I didn't listen to him. If i can help someone, i do.
Bless this couple. I love how they operate their “free” meals. This should be replicated throughout the US. People from all walks of life sharing a meal together.

We hope to inspire others to do the same. We were a mobile delivery service for years, but had it in our heart to open a restaurant. 6 years ago we finally had the opportunity to make it happen and went for it. We know it won't solve hunger, but if we can make just but a dent, it's better than nothing. People are getting fed, feeling seen and cared for and that's all that matters. What a beautiful couple doing God’s work! In a world that has become so much about greed, it’s difficult for a middle-class family of four to afford dinner in a restaurant. So, I can only imagine the money, faith and sheer will it takes to keep this place going! You are an amazing blessing to serve in this way, creating a domino effect from feeding the hungry, to creating relationships, to inspiring people like me! I am amazed at what they have achieved. To see people who would have gone hungry eating a nutritious hot meal even if they can't afford to pay warms my heart.

Is it just me or does all that food look absolutely amazing.
This could be a model for other communities/groups/individuals that want to help. Reaching out to them for guidance on how to set it up. If I wasn’t disabled and pretty much home bound I would so much love to do this. 💗
