Watch this video today and decided to make it and I am telling you it is Delicious. I am eating while typing this note. Jamaican Trying Trini Food #876
RIA, I’ll have to try this,I keep the vlogs, so I can retrieve it, this is so different to Jamaica’s own,,but you know, I only ate it , never saw how . Chereers
Great video as always. Just to let you know I did and still do cut pumpkin and I have a boy and a girl. Keep up the good work. Life is short make the most of it.
hi Ria , can you do a video on how to make dasheen bush bagie (not the callaloo version ) I had that many moons ago , sadly I don't get those traditional tastes again but I want to make my self ….
This recipe is much like my mother in Tobago used to make. She used an herb she just called Bush or thyme (but said it wasn't French time - she used that too.) It was a fuzzy leaf, like a large sage but had a very distinctive flavor that seemed to be in all the food in Tobago. Does anyone know what that herb is?
OMG!! I hope the wife tale is not true because I love to add pumpkin in my food, i only don't like it as a side dish...lol!! I need to try your way of cooking my calalloo. I noticed you didn't put any water in the pot just the coconut milk. I think that is a mistake I have been making because it takes hours to dry down and splashes all over the kitchen and stove, burns etc. *sigh*. Also, I want mines to have the same colour as yours. I like how you swizzle it, I do the same. Thank you!!
OF all the Trinidad callalo recipe this one is the best , just like how my mother make it old school .thank you.
I like it smooth no chunks

We call it pudina or broad leaf thyme

Very good no crab.for me but great dish
what do you eat it with?
Rice macaroni pie dumplings bread crix provisions the list can go on
The beginning looks like Arima market
Y you didn't put the crab later on
Afiesha Mahabir Because we need to extract the most flavor from the crab and allow it to marry the other ingredients slowly and thoroughly. 😀
Hi ria maraj
