Yes, yes, yes!! I consider myself a resource coach because I have such an uncanny ability to recall experts and their bodies of work. I tend to collect TED talks, authors, podcasts (faves include To the Best of Our Knowledge, Radiolab, and This American Life) and this makes road trips SO fun for me. I used to love to listen to fiction books while I completed jigsaw puzzles, though now I tend to use that time for intellection. LOVE my input talent; I feel it's how I quickly establish credibility. So enlightening to read my insights report and see how Input shows up so strongly in my life. It's my #1 talent/strength and I appreciate it so much. I'm very grateful that Strengthsfinder gave me the language and appreciation for this talent and what it's done for me.

I'm grateful for this video. I've taken the strengths finder 3 times now, and gotten input twice. I admit that part of me struggles with seeing this as a strength. I feel painfully frustrated in feeling this need to acquire more and more information on a topic or skill, and that it can delay my achievement of the goals I have in mind. So part of me feels like it is a crutch to me moving forward in my professional development... I'm grateful for this video though just to hear that someone was able to find out how to make use of their Input strength, and that it can be more valuable than just acquiring information.

Same here! When I revealed to a friend how I wasn't feeling this strength, she said it was one of the ones she was jealous she didn't have. WHY?! cos I am so similar to you Charles, a procurers of information (over research queen lol)... However, from all the research so far lol it seems, these strengths sit on a spectrum of "maturity" as I've herd these guys term it... so if it feels like a weakness, I think it still sits in its immature stage, where we haven't yet realised how to best or most effectively utilise the strength. So we shouldn't only be absorbing information - rather being resourceful with how we use said info... the other part of this is, not all the info is tangible. Input also allows the ability to absorb the non-spoken information. So "reading the environment" of a room or how someone is feeling...

As someone with Input as my #1 and Maximizer as my #4, I enjoyed this video thoroughly and it resonated with me so-so much. Took down notes as well, that's always important! :)
