Gorgeous photos but its video recording is only good when you're under *direct* bright light. I had to check my playback resolution while watching the bike ride video. It'd be passable if it was blurred, but those are blocky artifacts.
Yeah video recording I think is the weaker section compared to the photography side, it can be more dark then it should be, and just a bit off. Some shots are in 1080p though so naturally lower resolution, and then we have youtube compressions. So not the BEST indicator, but it isn't like it is MILES better then what is being shown in the video :)
I thought this phone would be able to take good shots only but wow you proved me completely wrong. These are amazing. I have a question, how good do you think the aura light is in terms of lighting up a spot? Like why don't VIvo use it on their flagships as another differentiator? The aura light seems like the perfect counter to Apple's new flash thing that came with the iPhone 14 Pro's that lit up everyone in a balanced way and not just making everything white.
Hahaha thank you! Yeah during normal lighting conditions this thing is really solid for what it is! In less then ideal lighting, that aura light does help, but that is more shots trying to take it of myself, I need more time to fully give a proper indication on like subjects in low light. so far it seems to help, but that is more close up objects. And honestly, the aura light would really be a good addition like you said to their flagships! Would make a lot of sense!!! And it uses different tones of lights which is great!

I want to get the v30 pro but I opted out and waited for the v40 pro because of the mediatech 9200+ and stereo speakers. The v40 they're releasing starts at 12gb/256 and Im thinking they will not release the pro because it only supports wifi7 but im not sure. I cant find an article why only v40. While in Philippines, my home country, its available already.

mmmmmm now THAT is a hard one!!!! I think in general year to year updates are often not worth it, if you go from the V30 to the V40 Pro yeah why not, you gain the telephoto, but going from the V30 to the V40 I think you're fine with the V40, you just miss out of some Zeiss exclusives.
It's nice that you chose the non-pro to really test its capability.
