Man, you are like our brother... I liked you... Thanks for interesting for Turkish people, language or whatever, I have just watched some videos... I subscribed you. c ya
As a Turk from Germany I can say that most letters are pronounced similar in Turkish and German (r, j and z are exceptions maybe some more). It's you English speakers who pronounce "e" and "a" in very "different" ways xD or even the English "I" sounds like German "EI" or Turkish "AY" (ok I admit the German form makes also no sense with the "E" in front). One trap in Turkish: The German I/i is the Turkish İ/i The Turkish "I" is not the big "i" but it's the big "ı" which doesn't exist in English/German. I'm not even halfway in and you already won 👍
We have muvaffakiyetsizleştiricileştiriveremeyebileceklerimizdenmişsinizcesine, man. "Afyonkarahisarlılaştıramadıklarımızdan mısınız?" is ez for us. Muvaffakiyetsizleştiricileştiriveremeyebileceklerimizdenmişsinizcesine means "As if you're the ones we quickly won't be able to make unsuccessful". Turkish is an agglutinative language, so we can extend the words as much as we want. LUL
There is really big difference between "sıkıldım" and ı's with dot on top. Because one of them means "I'm bored" and the other is "I am being fucked" .... That's the word anyone can make fun of tourists by trying to make them say this word 😄 since there is no '"ı" in English and everyone know how you guys spell that. Great content! Expect more bro.
I completely understand what you mean with slight “sh” sound Turks make after “r”s. If the “r” is at the end of the word that is. They will deny it because they don’t realise they are making it. I talk Istanbul Turkish (strandard Turkish) and I didn’t even realise I was making that sound until my foreign friends pointed it out. All Turks make it, but they don’t hear it themselves. It’s more easy for non-Turkish speakers to catch it for some reason. You can mostly hear it when they say “bir” (one). They are not supposed to make “sh” sound at the end of it but they make it anyway. It’s even more obvious if it’s whispered. There was a video of a foreign guy making Turkish accent. It’s called “how to speak English with a Turkish accent” by Keptins. He’s making quite the fun of it. You should definetely see his videos ^^
''pijamalı hasta yağız şoföre çabucak güvendi'' Pangram is the general name given to sentences with a certain meaning, formed on the condition that they contain all the letters in the alphabet of any language. It originally consisted of the words "pan" meaning whole, all in Greek, and "gramma" meaning letter. Therefore, sentences made using all the letters of the alphabet are called "pangrams". The example used for alphabet testing in electronic and devices can be seen when you turn on your computer "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." sentence. This sentence was created for the English alphabet. A sample pangram for the Turkish alphabet, "Pijamalı hasta yağız şoföre çabucak güvendi." sentence.
I pronounce my R's properly, but we Turkish speakers tend to smooth the pronunciation of rough sounding letter in a word, or the suffix. RP Turkish, is the easiest to understand, but only public news anchors speak like that.
Ofc he pronunced the “r’ in the end of the word. You heard like that because thanks to this Turkish guy he said the meaning of the words like jet engine.
that dzh sound replacing r sound is a new thing among the young people, they think that it is so much cooler. R always had to be pronounced as hard r sound, very different from western r sound. Closest r that I can think of is Spanish r.
7:46 ingilizcem olsada anlatsam , abi şimdi hani orayı yani son r yi söylerken nefes verdiğimiz için ıslık sesi çıkıyor yani orda dzh diye bi ses yok o sadece öyle duyuluyo j harfine yakın teşekkürlerjhh o dil diş arasından çıkan nefes sesi işte hattaha deneyin teşekürler derken son r de ağzınızın şekline bakın nefes verdikçe ıslık sesi çıkıyor :D
7:50 In the "R" WORD ENDS, the tongue is removed without hitting the palate softly as you said. the 'R' in the word is sometimes hard to feel, think of it like a construction machine sound '' RRRRRRR '' but short
You're very careful. We make it sound softer by mixing the letter "r" that comes at the end of the words with the sound of "sh" (of course, in our own way.)
damnn right, kudos to you bro. you did pretty well and i notice you got a thing for picking up accents. So I believe you could do much better pronouncing "g" as in "cok guzel". Regarding how "r" sounds different to you like a "c" sound, it's correct and not. If you're not rolling r, you're doing less work. So it's often used in colloquial language and similar to how you lose "t" in "santa claus" or depending on the region how you pronounce "mountain" almost like "moun uhn".
When you pronounce the last “r” , that slight and silence “sh” sounds after that and it’s not intentionally. This has not a letter, is not an accent, doesn’t change the meaning.
İçinde bir Türk olduğunu biliyordum.
You pronounced the words almost correctly. I think knowing how to pronounce letters in Turkish makes it easy.
