- I'll be ordering every release on NCS this year from my least favorite to my favorite. This is just my opinion/don't get mad/yadda yadda all that jazz. The order won't be exact, as it's impossible for me to perfectly rank every song in perfect order based off how much I like it, but the songs will roughly get better over time. Also some of my opinions have changed since I first ranked them, so some songs may be lower or higher now then you'd expect.

Honestly I haven't heard most of NCS since I focused on more bangers, but Only You is one of my favorites. Some songs beat it out tho like the Graphyt's Time Machine (Antima Remix) or Ace Aura's Shattered, and What You Like is mils better than Futurebots imo as well as most Slap House this year. Nice vid too.

4. ight i'm about to go into rant mode. i swear to god this is THE most overloved song of the entire year. i thought it was a good lil 7/10 before, but the more i listen to it, the more i think "is this y'alls top 10??". there is literally NOTHING special about it. it's nostalgic bait that definitely shows that it took three days to make. the melodub part is really bad honestly... the vocal chops just dont work. people dont even give a real reason as to why they like it. they say it's nostalgic to them or say how it's special because famous old artists worked on it. so what? what about the actual song??? it's extremely generic regardless of who created it.

when sky high pt. ll first came out I also thought it was kinda average and gave it a 7/10, I agree the vocal chops suck so idk why I like it so much lol
@j.w... i relistened to destiny to see if i would change my mind. the first drop is powerful, but then it just repeats itself over and over and over again that it just loses that power. my opinion on the melodub part is still the same. it's horrible. sky high part 2 may have catered towards nostalgic people, but it atleast tried. the variety makes it worth listening to, especially with the powerful melodub drop it has. destiny just repeats itself expecting the same reaction as the first time.

As for Destiny, it’s definitely a let down considering the amount of artists who worked on it, as I only see Jim Yosef’s and electro light’s influence, but putting that aside it’s a phenomenal track for me
@j.w... oh it's okay. i probably should have spaced it out lol. the thing that confuses me the most about it though is how people will point out pretty major flaws about it, such as how it's generic, lazy, or like how you pointed out that you can't hear some of the artist's influence. and yet, people will still give it over a 90 or even a 100, while other songs with these type of flaws get a much lower rating. it makes me feel like there's some sort of bias towards it.
