Dont forget to enter the giveaway... If you want to begin restoring your headlights you'll need the following products from Amazon. 3" Polisher: amzn.to/2YUCk2n Meguiars PlastX: amzn.to/2YTIaBn Black Foam Pad: amzn.to/31oOwdA
Thank you so much for making this video! I've used Meguiars PlastX on a light lens today where the transparent plastic was yellow instead of clear and it works exactly like you show in this video and it's very easy to work with too. I've polished by hand and the result is very good in my opinion after polishing the light lens multiple times. I'm definitely going to buy this product again!
Better results are to use glass cleaner to rubbing alcohol to PlastX, Each going over twice to ensure cloth you wipe to clean is clean when ..well cleaning surface. Rubbing alcohol is to remove oil residue or water as evaporates quickly and clean. PlastX is great by itself and 2 coats is even better, I use a mustard type squeeze bottle to better control where placing on headlights. Nice video as is a product that when done right(as shown) can give wonderful results.
I tried the PlastX on my 986 headlights by hand with good results but will definitely get one of those 3" orbital buffers for even better results...thanks!
Its a good tutorial video to restore the clarity and shine!! I've used this product in conjunction with a full 3M restoration kit on my badly degraded headlights, The only difference being after buffing with the PlastX i used Maguires clearcoat with added UV protection the best in my opinion, Also after care is most important for Derabilaty, Every time the car been washed i use Turtle wax headlight polish which as UV protection added, A clean micro fibre cloth a drop of polish rubbed on each lens and left for 5min's and buff by hand works wonders, My headlights still looks clear after 2years!!🤔😳🇬🇧👍
Just an FYI to anyone doing this, COVER YOUR CAR PAINT if you are going to use higher speeds. Got this all over my mom’s car hood and it left a ton of micro scratches trying to wash it off!
Without mentioning any other brand names (C*******), what is your opinion of using only their final coating step to protect the surface after polishing with PlastX and cleaning the surface and not waxing as you did?
Your headlights dont look like they have any oxidation to start with. If you had messed up headlights it would make for a much better video. Good luck with your channel!
One of the main villains in yellowing plastic headlights is UV light, so to minimize the effect of UV from the sun UV resistant clear coat is preferred, rather than wax ... Just sayin' ... :)
Give us another video by using the Plastx with an orange correction pad and also the black polishing pad and let’s see the difference. Try to find a very oxidized headlight and let’s see the difference.
It works great for the fog. But the yellow not really. It depends on how bad your lights are though mine were pretty bad and if u have those little cracks in the light that’s permanent.
@@MasterKoala777 it lasted a while idk id say every year it gets slightly crapier as time goes on. Depends on how much sunlight its geting and also how well ur taking care of the light. After you seal them buy plexus spray and spray them down wipe em off every few months to keep them fresh.
You just should’ve swapped the jobs for the pads.. the black one should’ve been for the 3 in 1 wax, while even tho the plastix was a “polish” for EXTRA CUTTING POWER….. I think you should’ve used the orange pad
Check out my Patron on my about section of my channel. I’m going to move my giveaways to Patron. It’s costs to enter but if you can win Tools, Products, and even a few detailing machines. Good luck in the SuperClean giveaway.
#superclean haha, I’m late but the video is still here, do you have a yearly giveaway promotion for this product in 2024… I just subscribed to your channel 😅
I hope you’re not backing that phony antenna add, linked in your video that claims to allow you to receive satellite tv. It’s not possible to receive satellite signals on regular TV antenna. I know these are considered what they call shotgun adds which you have no control over, but you should be allowed to pick reputable advertisers.

Beautiful! Nothing like clear headlights
McGuires Also makes a headlight lens protector that you can use after the polishing
did you find the orange pad was more rigid than the black? orange is usually the stiffer type.
Great video and thanks for the info, where do you buy the 3-1 wax at if I may ask?
great video. What kind of foam or sponge u r using with the plasticX?? from where can i get it??
Hash tag super clean
Great Video!! I Need To Get One Of Those DA Polishers Preferably The 3"inch DA With The Pads. I'm Just Wondering How Much Do They Cost?..
cool, I have recently ordered the Meguiar products to restore my headlights.
Great video and tutorial my friend! Thanks for sharing! Keep up the amazing work!

I just bought the Plastic X but I need to buy the applicator and wax next. Thanks
The metallic grey e36 looks like very pretty.

Amazing Video Man😁🥳🥳! Helped Me Out A lot😁😁
You made tgat clear highlight look clear. Well done lolol.
Cerakote makes nice ceramic coating wipes to protect the lenses when they are finished. Full kits also.
This was satisfying to watch 😅
It’s always fun taking something dirty and making it like new again

will scrubbing with scotch-bright potentially hurt my headlight dome?
Yes!!!
great video thanks so much mate

I will see what I can do
Does this remove scratches from the headlights as well?
gonna do the plastx first then add a ceramic coating after
I did the same. Unfortunately I didn’t really pay attention to how long it lasted. I used Armor X ceramic coating.
It works great for the fog. But the yellow not really. It depends on how bad your lights are though mine were pretty bad and if u have those little cracks in the light that’s permanent.
Thanks. How long did the effect last before wearing off?

@@eddieg9060 thanks! Yeah mine has those little cracks, and yellow too. But any improvement will be good.
@@MasterKoala777 no problem i ended up just geting new head lights but the improvement was really noticeable worth a try
Never put 2k on headlights, Unless your prepared to buy new lights when they go bad!!!
People say use toothpaste but it never worked on my Honda Accord 2009...mine still cloudy...will try plastx since Plexus too expensive
#superclean
Looks so much better gotta get around to that on the heavily oxidized lights of my wife's 08 Mazda 3.

Did not work on my 2011 450gl
Still a cloud on the lens
how long did u buff for? what kind of equipment were you using?
@@danielfix7871 i did half hr. No drill by hand
@@jerrykay1137 Maybe that's why then. I'm about to try it with my drill and pad tonight.

@super clean
#superclean I love super clean! I use it for everything :) love your videos.
wow
Nice results i would have used the orange pad to cut with the compound and used the black to apply wax but it came out great
Good tips thank you
Beautiful job bro this is for the other stupid videos that say it doesn’t work..
It works. A big part is what you put on overtop of it to protect it. Nothing lasts forever not even a $2000 ceramic coating

Was expecting a better finish to be honest.
Next time use a more aggressive pad. It will help with the cutting. Also, that wax will absolutely not last 1 yr
AlwaysChangingMind agreed
I would love to use #superclean on my car !!
the wax wont last a year...it wont even last the summer...you need to seal it with Ceramic Coating... like that it will last a good 6 months..
Headlight clear wrap or tint wrap will last years
#SuperClean

Not going to last a year

It still sucks .you haue not did nothing t it
There was nothing wrong with your headlights
Give me a break
Lol. Definitely not the worst out there but they were pretty bad on the top part
What a complete waste of time. Car paint scratch remover or metal polish works just aswell and so much cleaner and fast.
You tuber
