- Ahoj přátelé ocelových kol! Dnešní stavba je trochu jiná než obvykle, je z klasických českých komponentů 70.tých let minulého století. Tím chci říci , abyste nečekali stavbu vámi milovanými Campagnolo nástroji. Soudruzi vyrobili tehdy díly tak, že bylo možné a nutné skládat to pouze dostupnými nástroji...siko kleště a kladivo...max nějaký stranový klíč. Není to můj šálek čaje bušit do kola kladivem a seřizovat řízení kleštěmi , ale tak jsme tehdy fungovali. Přes mnohá úskalí nepřesností a nekvalitních materiálů z mého úsilí vypadla krásná věc! Jízda na těžce a špatně řadící přehazovačce a přesmykači a už od novoty křivých převodnících nebude žádná slast, ale vzhled kola je přesto krásný a majiteli bude v obýváku na zdi dělat radost a připomínat mládí...tak jako nám všem!
Hello friends of steel bikes! Today's build is a little different than usual, it is made of classic Czech components from the 70s of the last century. By that I mean, don't wait for the build with your beloved Campagnolo tools. The comrades made the parts in such a way that it was possible and necessary to assemble it only with available tools... pliers and a hammer...and some type of wrench. It's not my cup of tea to hit the bike with a hammer and adjust the headset with pliers, but that's how we worked back then. Despite many pitfalls of inaccuracies and poor quality materials, my efforts turned out to be a beautiful thing! Riding on a heavy and poorly shifting derailleurs and crooked chainwheels will not be a pleasure, but the look of the bike is still beautiful and it will make the owner happy on the wall in the living room and remind him of his youth... just like all of us!

Nazdárek cyklističtí nadšenci a fandové značky Favorit! Jako majitel tohoto krasavce, cítím povinnost v první řadě poděkovat svým přátelům Milanu Baďurovi, Karlu Chmelířovi a Marku Suchánkovi za profesionální práci a podporu při stavbě kola. Díly jsem dával do kupy cca 3 roky. Až na dvě drobnosti, jsou to všechno NOS ( nové, nikdy nepoužité komponenty ). Tohle je třetí bike, který jsme takto stavěli, a musím říct, že sehnat český komponenty v takovýhle kondici, bylo zdaleka nejtěžší. Byla to ale velká výzva, a přesně takhle to mám rád! Vám přeju hodně trpělivosti při skládání Vašich krasavců, k čemuž jsem snad dodal trochu inspirace. Ještě jednou díky, a všem pěknou neděli! Zdraví Vás Karel Říha. P.S. Beautiful! I have an identical F1 frame and fork from 1971 that I want to restore, but I don't know the original color, is the gold color from the factory? The best part of the frame is the wrap over seatstays that are different from any other vintage frame I've ever seen. I have most of the original components but they need some care but still in good working condition. Were your new components like the Centric brakes already polished from the factory or did you polish them before installation? Greetings from California, thank you for the beautiful video!
Hello from the Czech Republic! The gold color is an imitation of the original coating with modern car paints. No Favorit parts were polished like this, polishing is the job of the bike owner, he wanted the most beautiful thing. Thanks for the great support!

It's a well build machine, with a great frame and charasteristics, I've been restoring the bicycle for a year. Therefore i cannot ride it unltill i will end up with the perfection I've imagined! :)

I have a few questions:
Does a screw on a bicycle handlebar have necessarily to be screwed on with a rather wide spacer beneath? Otherwise, without a spacer should not cause a problem to the fork or a handlebar?
With all honesty, I am also really qurious for how much this beautifull machine went on sale...
Do you have the original documents on the bicycle? How difficult was to restore them?

The washer under the screw is there so that the 6-point screw does not grind into the aluminum of the stem. I was assembling the bike for a friend who was looking for it part by part for a lot of money... thank you for your support and nice comment.

Oka na přehazovačku se začala dělat cca v roce 1968. Viděl jsem tři rámy 67 - a ty ho ještě neměly. Asi tak.
