This is one of my favourite Rose covers ❤️ but it’s also because I’m a huge fan of Halsey. The original version is not a ballad, and also is longer, rose put her own spin on it and only sang the chorus and bridge of the original song ☺️ Halseys last album was called ‘If I can’t have Love, I want Power’ and it was produced by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross of Nine inch Nails (who I have a feeling you may like!). The whole project was incredible and included a fiction film to accompany the album in cinemas. Not saying you have to react but it may be one you check out in your own time if you fancied it! Halseys new album comes out this year, and it’s called ‘The Great Impersonator’ and features the theme of her wondering what her music would sound like in different decades: a thought she had whilst fighting Lupus, and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder, both are now currently managed or in remission. One of these days Coach is going to open up about how he feels about Rose'. If Coach was replaced, think about how much extra space Mrs. Coach would have. ;) Good pet parents know that, when we get them, we only have them for a relatively short time, but we try to give them the best life we can in exchange for all the love and entertainment and companionship they give us, and we try to keep them with us for as long as we can. I hope Rose will forgive me for interrupting, but thought I'd let you know Soyeon has posted a vlog of her producing Qwer's "My Name is Malguem." This is interesting because this is the first time Soyeon has produced a rookie group and it's their first time working with her. They're nervous as hell and Soyeon isn't working with her members, so it really shows her using all her vocal tricks to put them at ease and get the sound she wants. She really is a phenomenal talent, not only musically, but at working with people. If you're a Soyeon geek, you'll love this. (The track's good too, but what else would you expect from the Captain?) 😊

I (seriously) count myself fortunate that I came along at the right time to watch all these talented women just tear up the global music scene as well as force the kicking and screaming evolution of the Korean music/agency system. The Halsey version is faster and isn't really ballad,. Rose' vocals hit deep, there is a performance of this with Rose' playing the guitar.

Re: Idle. Forbes just listed the top earners of 2024 (so far) and the top three were Blackpink, Idle, and BTS. The girls never get as much publicity as the others because they're not involved in scandals, dating rumors, or fashion shows. They just focus on making music and it's only when lists like this come out that you get to see just how much of a commercial (and artistic) juggernaut they've become. Cube should just sign a contract with them that says "Whatever Soyeon wants, Soyeon gets..."

This is eleven years old, but suddenly it's started popping up again and since you're probably an old headbanger like me, you should be pleased.
The MV is "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. They've been dwelling in the hazy mists of my past, but reactors, most of whom weren't even born when the band was play, are suddenly discovering this was The Kick-Ass group. I'll always love Kpop, but sometimes it's nice to go back and remember a time when groups put the pedal to the metal and just tore up the stage. There's several mvs floating around, but the best is the official MV in a Thunderdome-like concert setting. Thunder!!!!
