People often mischaracterize Alive 2007 as a glorified DJ set because they only hear mashups of songs. Of course these are mashups. But they didn’t merely mix tracks and samples together on decks. Daft Punk completely deconstructed past songs from across their catalog. Then they rearranged their pieces and even made some new synth lines and drum patterns to fill them out. The nuance is evident upon repeated listens. And this video is a perfect illustration of the meticulous nature of their work for the Alive 2007 setlist.
It's funny how you say "Glorified DJ Set" cause this and WWW by Justice are the only good ones for me. This is how it should be done when I can here the songs online for free nowadays. There is no reason (for me at least) to see an EDM DJ live if I have that stuff on CD, vinyl or streaming. A rock band or hip-hop act have distinctions with them live verses in studio that make you want to go their show. An occasional VIP mix doesn't cut it in my opinion.
Because on its own, as an album, it's very rough around the edges. It's very apparent they recorded it over a short span of time (wasn't it few weeks?) and it's not as fleshed out as Homework and Discovery. But yes, Alive 2007 wouldn't be the same without Human After All. And vice versa
human after all is an enetirely diffrent genere then we have ever seen before the album wasent about the sound it was about what it ment saying technoligy can be good but it can also be very bad we are all human kind of talking about racisim that we all alll human and should treat people how we want to be treated great album the only thing wrong with it is songs are to long and prob the best song on there prime time of ur life is to short lol

It's the only album from them that has no songs in my playlist. They're just too barebones and repetitive. Of course that makes it perfect for mashups.

To be fair RAM I think wouldn't fit so well being remixed except for like Contact maybe or Motherboard. All the other songs are too much like "real" songs to fit well being mixed with other songs

Robot rock, it says human robot. It sounds weird because it's ran through a beat repeater in Ableton. Too long uses 4 mini moog voyager rack mount to create the synth and the song they're playing is actually "tell me why by supermode". Also the bouncy synth used in the overall mixed is actually television rules the nation looped just like from the start only it passes through an auto filter low pass with a sawtooth LFO set to 3/16. I should know since I actually recreated the entire concert perfectly.

At first, I thought it came from the Para One remix of Primetime of Your Life, but clearly not. I knew it wasn't Music Sounds Better With You or Together, as there's more hi-hat shuffle going on that's not in those tracks. So I ultimately gave up. Now it all makes sense that it would be Revolution 909's drum track. OF COURSE lol thank you so much!

I think the opening track from Alive 2007, “Robot Rock / “Oh Yeah,” includes Daft Punk’s very own Robot Rock - Maximum Overdrive Mix (which was released on Human After All (Remixes), a 2006 Remix album originally released exclusively in Japan). The Maximum Overdrive Mix part towards the end when the Oh Yeah vocals are mixed in. I think it’s super cool that 2 absolute bangers are included in Alive 2007 from Human after All (Remixes), one of the Daft Punk’s least popular releases. Personally, I love everything the Robots have ever touched, so I love this album, and it’s nice to see it getting some much deserved love. Anyway, thanks for making this much needed list.

I've recently discovered Revolution 909 and up until this video had no idea that drumline from that song was in the 2007 Alive encore. My mind has been blown and now that encore means so much more now. Thank you

"Aura Rock" as it's commonly called, is not the guitar from Aerodynamic. It's an entirely original synth line specifically made for Alive 2007.
