The warnings about that kind of flooring (high mineral impregnated LVP type) are true. I put in a similar floor (1100 square feet) in 2020 and I use an electric mobility scooter (yea, put it in solo during lockdown in summer 2020). Anywhere that is relatively high traffic (i.e. galley kitchen) is completely cracked, chipped and destroyed. Be careful with that stuff. I've since discovered its the nature of the material. I need to replace everything and not stoked about it.

I do have the 1/16" roundover. I use it ALL the time!
When i do my cabinets in the shop I am definitely building my toe kick separately. I installed two Ikea cabinets side by side for my dump sink (didn't have the time to build them myself). They had those great leveling feet... right? WRONG! It sucked. And that was two small cabinets. I can't imagine doing a longer bank.

Hi Bent. I was just watching your video and you were praising your quickshot again. You said that it was really good on clear finishes; does that just mean stuff like polyurethane, or does that include things like lacquer and shellac and what not? My only hesitancy about getting the quickshot is that it’s battery operated, which isn’t necessarily something I want because I only use one platform and don’t want to get another battery and charger. That being said, I am interested in how good the thing is and might still bite the bullet over an HVLP system. Thank you and your videos are extremely informative. I am officially switching to metric this year because of you. I’m so excited!

Great island, great video. I heard your points of not using the adjustable feet in the video, but I am curious if they would have even been ok to use in this application anyhow, because I read a single comment one time about the fact the could wobble/break off in an island that isn't wall supported because they aren't great with shear strength. Does anyone know if this is true?

Good video Jason, thanks. 2 questions. What degree plate were you using on the router to trim the edge banding? Would you recommend using the Domino 500 support at the 3:51 minute mark? I wonder if that might have contributed to the issue you had? Thanks for your time.

Very nice cabinets, the electrical wire, should have been MC wire, not romex wire

There are two kinds of countries on this planet: those who use the metric system, and those who flew to the moon using the metric system whilst inexplicably still teaching the imperial system to high school students. 😁

There is a third type Canada. Which technically is a metric system country but uses old school imperial in random situations we all unspokenly agree upon. With the exception of distance which is measured in the time it takes to travel it. Not sure how this happened.

Who stands with their toes in the toe-kick? How about someone who is 6'-5" tall. weighs 225, and has size 13 feet/shoes? The main problem for me though is the height of the work surface., and the "stand-off" this creates.

outlets should not be on the side as cords hang down and cause injuries, kids have caught slow cooker cords and burned themselves, far better to install a pop up outlet on the top

Love the island and receptacle. Much cheaper than trufig. Unfortunately, it is now against electrical code to have receptacles on the side of a kitchen island and must be installed in the countertop.

Love the video but PLEASE start decreasing the volume of the tools while you are doing voice overs. Watching these with a baby in the room means I have to keep turning it off unfortunately. But also audio quality on background during voiceovers is something the great content creators do really well and I’d say you are well on your way to being a great content creator.

I'm curious how you afford all that super expensive equipment. It'd take me years to get all that stuff on my army pension.
