I think its mostly because he also thinks its fun
Heres some things to clarify.
Cross is Sans and Chara combined. Sans killed frisk and took the rest of frisk's soul to be able to overwrite the timeline. But he can't because sans has the soul and body of a monster. And now he's stuck with chara because frisk is dead. and will have the guilt of killing everybody for nothing.

Great choice, reactions to Jakei's movie versions are very rare. Next is UNDERVERSE SEASON 1 - THE MOVIE.
Also, I am very sure that in movie versions you can turn on video substitles to see each windings translation. So yeah, you can go back to those windings scenes and turn on english subtitles, and don't forget to turn them on next time you see windings in this story again.

never seen anyone react to xtale before UNDERVERSE so this will be interesting
The grey frisk in the credits is core Frisk. They’re a version of frisks who also fell into the core in their timeline and was scattered across the universe. They gained the ability to travel the multiverse and go around helping people in cross’s situation who are stuck in ruined timelines and voids to take them to their own timeline where they can meet others and be happy. In the interactions you saw that was cross denying core frisk’s offer to take him to their timeline
Error is the black red and blue sans with the blue strings you saw at the ending too. He’s a version of sans after a genocide route who survived and got stuck in his void. He eventually went insane and broke his universes code so he could travel the multiverse I think??? But his whole deal is he thinks alternate universes are bad and the only good timeline is the main timeline so he wants to destroy the multiverse. He’s usually inks enemy or rival. The interaction you saw between cross and error was error trying to destroy cross and take his soul for being an alternate sans

Frisk got killed of by a giant knife cross trew during his battle with chara for the body control. It shows this in xtale comic.

I dont know about ink's origin, but error isn't a god, just some dude (not a random one) who decided to do some stuff after some events happened

If you want to continue the story you watch the whole underverse 1 season. Season 2 is currently still in progress and the creator drops a new episode normally around November / December. Note that the animation will be a bit wonky in season 1 since season 1 was made before X tale was made. Season 2 looks really good and I hope you watch it all.
For people here that says "you should start with this", i don't wanna sound negative and like spiteful at your comments or something, but let him watch the entire story/lore however he likes

Things to explain about xtale:
In the xtale comic, (small spoilers btw for the comic) which came before the movie
Cross kills every body by taking frisk hostage and then kills frisk by tricking them that he was weak
(Brutal death btw)
He combines their souls
Chara is now apart of sans/cross(his new name)
And frisk is separate
Cross finishes off frisk moments later because he felt betrayed
So now it's just cross with Chara being a ghost trying to take advantage over him
That's all I needed to help explain

Quick reminder purple in the normal undertale universe means perseverance. Here while Ink did state that it’s pain, perseverance does fit the bill of xgaster well. He’s done this several times likely living for hundreds of years in these timelines and possibly longer after his soul was ripped in half. So yeah while pain is a big part so is perseverance.

Since you listened to the ost's for undertale and deltarune before playing them why not do the same for the underverse and xtale ost
Underverse ost list would be okay (unless the video would show him Season 2 characters) and I think most XTale series themes have very similar vibe (would be a little boring except 3 certain themes)
I will be honest, you kind of ruined the experience for yourself by watching this first. It is not going to have that much of an impact when you watch them out of order. In the future, you could first give the viewer a heads-up in the community tab. and those who know more about the topic can show you which order to watch. so both sides can enjoy it more, for you and the viewer.
Let him experience the story in whatever way he wants to experience it
@@lah7b771 I can guarantee you he didn't choose or want this way to experience the story; he chose it because of how much attraction it would do for the video; he didn't want the full story experience; it was just a quick video upload; he didn't plan ahead, thinking it wasn't going to matter. there wasn't a heads-up in the community tab for his viewers to see it, which would get them excited to talk about it and let him know how to go about it for the full story experience.
It doesn't even really matter that much anyways since its only a small thing and it doesn't really take away or add a whole lot to the whole, main experience

I am bored to see too many people start from Underverse anyway, it's finally interesting to have someone react to XTale first. Also, let's be honest - Underverse spoils XTale more than XTale spoils Underverse. The prove to that is XTale is about ONE unique universe and Undeverse is about DEEP multiverse.
