    People rubbishing FSG must have forgotten how they saved us from going into liquidation. Since they took over we have won every trophy in football apart from the Europa League. They’ve invested in a new training facility, expanded the ground and brought us right back to the top table of world football. They brought us Klopp and now seem to have made a seamless transition by appointing the right successor in Slot. They will make the right decision regarding these players. We shouldn’t give Salah what he wants. We should give him what we think he’s worth over the length of a new contract. Not because FSG are k*ntz but because that how you conduct business.

      They are multi billionaires now thanks to the club, it was always going to sell hence the fact it literally sold and is now worth £4billion-£5billion compared to the £300mil it took to buy the club at the time. They didn't ride in on a white horse out of love for scousers they bought the club knowing the resale value with the way tv rights and sponsors where going. Every move they make is with money in mind and they take 0 risks, even when building on the stadium they use in house loans so the interest benefits them financially. They get far too much credit for bringing Jurgen in, he came because of the stature of the club not because of the owners you absolute moron. Using that logic Torres came because of Hicks and Gillett and Gerrard signed a long term deal in 09 because of them too. Salah is one of the greatest PLAYERS ever for this FOOTBALL CLUB and should be rewarded as such rather than being treated as an ASSET in BUSINESS.
      Do I think they are bad owners? No, there's much worse out there and the club is a healthy one financially no doubt. Do I think they put money before success? Yes, definitely. Would I ever suck them off to the point of saying we shouldn't keep hold of one our greatest ever players and just turn a blind eye to absolutely everything they have done wrong? Nope, that's what long distance fans that don't go to games do because they they think it makes them look like a real fan 😂 I've never seen brown nosing like it here, you are defo from Essex or something and was nowhere to be seen when we had to walk out of that ground over ticket prices.

    Honestly a great strategy should have been to honour the players that have showed them unwavering loyalty and simultaneously they should have secured Kvara in preparation for when Salah eventually does leave or retire.. Providing Kvara enough time to settle in the country club and style of play. Just my opinion! :)

      Liverpool should give Salah a contract. But not at the money he is already receiving. Same pay, with bonuses that pay him money by appearance and goals. I think that's how we should deal with this. 2 year contract. We also need to sign Trent and VVD, that's a lot of money for probably 3 of the biggest players in the PL.

    FSG is not the issue here. Under klopps final years the whole upper structure broke down as he was in charge of practically everything. If Hughes and Edwards were in charge it never would have got here. They are now in a position of timing and what order they solve this issue in because clearly they can play off each other's contract to make additional demands. Klopp and his very short term German director he hand pinched are largely responsible for this. I love klopp, always will but we have too admit his weaknesses.

    @joshgardie9051 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Saved us? John W Henry didn’t even know who Liverpool Football Club were, he even said so himself, and that he was talked into buying the club. We all know that the only reason why he brought the club was to make a profit as we were available on the cheap. Myself and everyone else at that time wanted DIC, we didn’t want anymore Yanks after Hicks and Gillett. Don’t get me wrong they have done some good things for the club like redeveloping the 2 stands, the AxA, and appointing Klopp. However, when it comes to investing in the squad they just can’t afford to do it year on year, as their transfer strategy just doesn’t work anymore. In 2019 after winning the CL we only brought in Adrian, Elliott and VDB, and during the last few years we wanted Bellingham who we had been scouting for about 2-3 seasons, and Tchouameni, and we didn’t sign either of them as we wouldn’t pay the transfer fees or break our wage structure to sign them. Caicedo we were never going to pay 110m for and if anyone thinks otherwise then they are deluded, as they only made that bid just to show the supporters that they were willing to spend. They never had any intention of signing him as they knew he only wanted Chelsea. Nobody is asking for FSG to spend like Chelsea and Utd, we just want them to spend more than the bare minimum for the positions that are needed, which they didn’t do again this summer, as we needed a DM and CB and we failed to sign either of those positions. The lack of signings is also why we haven’t been good enough in the league since winning it in 2020, as we have had a lot of injuries during that time and had they brought in the positions we needed to make us stronger we would have won another league title. I really don’t get how we could go into previous seasons with 3 injury prone CB’s, injury prone midfielders and an injury prone striker. I still think had we brought in Diaz in the 2021 summer window injury of the January window we would have won the league instead of losing it by a point. I also think had we brought in a midfielder that season we would have won the quadruple, but the club just doesn’t learn and would rather keep what they have rather than bringing in a player or two to make the squad stronger.

    FSG have no ambition. They didnt back Klopp and wont back Arne Slot. Salah, VvD and TAA are legacy players and deserve contracts showing their worth. They will be the difference between silverware and not.
    Its sensible to view each case on its merits especially for players over 30. No noticeable decline in Salah's numbers. He actually looks better than ever ans his all round game has improved. VvD is back to the best version of himself after the ACL. Trent will improve defensively under Slot and still get the assist numbers. Without these 3 players we are much weaker as a team. That's a fact.

    • @chrisnull3658
      @chrisnull3658 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      No ambition? They've extended the stadium, revitalized the academy both structurally and by packing it with talent. Commercially they've put this club in a way better condition than when they found it. How did they not back Klopp? They've spent big when they find the right player and been sensible in the transfer market. Unfortunately they are at the club during a time where hitting the 90+ point mark doesn't win titles because of the buzzsaw that is man city. There aren't many clubs that can afford the types of fees and wages city is able to sustain and that's just the reality of the premier league as it currently stands. You say give the contracts and that's so easy for you when you don't know what the players are asking for. I've seen rumors of Trent wanting an absolutely massive contract, he's a right back that is probably going to end up being the highest paid player at the club. They'll pay it because he's a scouser and letting his go would cause riots outside the stadium, but once they do where do they get the money to pay VVD and Salah? The amount the club is able to spend on wages isn't a bottomless pit. I'd like to see them keep all three of these players but if Salah or VVD want a big payday in Saudi there's no way to match it. We'd have to shell out 800k/ week to match a 400k/ week Saudi contract. The only hope is that they have enough affinity with Liverpool and belief in Arne Slot that they will take a 2-3 year contract to stay at a top club in Europe rather than a big payday elsewhere. It's so easy to spend someone else's money isn't it? I'd rake these owners rather than be owned by some morally dubious state backed investment funds like Newcastle or City, and there aren't too many ultra rich alternatives to what we currently have out there, owners wise. Or are you planning to throw down your 1.5 billion pounds and save us from the "terrible" owners who have brought Liverpool back to the level supporters only dreamed of before they arrived?

      And after another failed transfer window we hear PR quotes like "Liverpool don't need a DM"
      If you really think Liverpool are broke just ask yourself the question where did the Caicedo money go??
      Where did all the money from selling players go??

    Salah is being over hyped. A third of his goals are pens. The rest are scuffs, tap ins and placed. Salah can't actually shoot the ball. That's concening for a forward. We should have sold him for 150m last year

      Yeah… salah accidentally wrote himself into numerous record books. And he’ll accidentally do it again and again.

    So this guy is saying that Liverpool can’t do what other clubs can do. Brother, you are wrong. Liverpool can do all that. But Liverpool and the owners simply don’t want to. Because they are a bunch of tight arses. That’s all they are. Stingy bloody tight arses.
