$18 is not worth paying for gel. For $18 that gel better give me soft & stretched curls. Eco styler has been smelling themselves a little too much for that price. Your curls look cute ❤

Yes! Love your channel. I purchased the gel online and overpaid as well. I saw the gel in my local beauty supply store for its regular price. I love the gel and I'll definitely use it. The first time I used it a friend of mine thought I colored my hair and my wash and go lasted 7 days.

Oonagh72 I have done a 3 strand twist out with it and it gave gr8 definition. I actually don't like it for my wash and go. Didn't give me any kind of hold, but worked great as a twistout styler. Hope that helps.

You have restored my faith in wash n gos. Because I have heat and color damage. I’ve been transitioning as well. I’ve been searching for a gel that would help my struggle section in the front. I think I am going to go with the black top because of accessibility and frugality lol.

Added: I also experience no flakes AT ALL! The JBCO makes my hair flake and doesn’t mix well with everything.

Yes I have tried it and it's ok. I bought it in the BSS for 2.99 for an 8 oz jar...I live in Atlanta. I like the castor and flaxseed better though. Your hair looked great.
The both Gels look similar to me. In Essence the both Gels gave you curl definition but the Eco Black Castor Oil looked a little bit more defined in your hair. However, l have noticed that the roots were puffy with both Gels. Overall it was a fairly good Wash n Go in my opinion!

Have you tried the ORS curls unleashed curl boosting gel? It’s the best thing I’ve used for my curls 💙
You got great results. When i find it I my bss i will try it. But im just not willing to fork over 18 bucks for it. Until it is in my bss, i will stick to the flaxseed/castor oil one.
The olive oil is really thick but it was really moisturizing too 💯
Mielle leave in conditioner is my fav too! It smells amazing too! But yeah I don’t think I’ll be using this new gel tbh
We didn't get got!! I'd tried it before with activator underneath & did it today without a leave in. I feel it clumped me better than the flax & Castor. I'm going back!! My boss has it
Olive Oil Eco Style that has been set out for a couple of hours will always be my favorite! The flaxseed oil one is nice if I don't want strong hold and I want my hair left soft. Although, I am using gel for the hold soooo Olive oil Eco Style gel 4 lyfe

Have you tried a protein regimen? It helped me out when my front curls were tripping. Mo knows hair videos are really helpful.

I don’t think I’ll be getting that new one. The flaxseed and the olive oil eco style gels got rave reviews on TH-cam but neither worked for me. Finally Amber did a very interesting video about this new gel. 🤔 Your hair did look a little more defined on the gold side.

I tried ECO gel when I first started transitioning and it was too heavy for me; or maybe I was heavy handed 🤔🤔. Shea moisture gel has always worked for me. But then again, I have more experience. I will attempt a wash n go the way you do yours and let you know. Yeah gurl, keep your money and stick with the old one. I think that side curled better in the back actually.

I luv this gel. It Don't feel too thik 2me. It is lightweight tho. it's not worth $18 but I wuz anxious. I Don't use no gel on it's own. I paired mines wit Creme-of-Nature coconut milk leave in and hydration curling. My hair wuz supa soft, shiny, very hydrated n moisturized. N it felt that way up ntil I washed my hair yesterday. It gav me 6days uv moisture n hydration.
Both sides look good to me.

I’m late but I couldn’t pay $18 for gel with a clear conscience. I just got the regular tub for $5.99 at my local beauty supply. Yes I’m a year late but again...$5.99! So far I don’t like it. I tried to use it for a partial updo but it had no hold. It felt thick like it was gonna do something but when it touched my head it just made my hair wet. My hair is 10”, 4b/4a & medium density. I ended up using the Argan oil one to finish my style. I’ll have to give it another chance when I I’m going someplace where idc what my hair looks like.....like work.
