Mike, I think I got only2 CDs last year. I have some other CDs but they are all boxed up. Someday I need to get a rack for them I guess. I like them but I just focuses on vinyl
Hi Brian. Martin Carthy was a prominent member of the English folk revival in the 60s. When Bob Dylan first came to the UK he asked Carthy to teach him to play Scarborough Fair and Lord Franklin on the guitar. The latter was adapted by Dylan and became "Bob Dylans Dream". Cheers Mike
I bought my first Cd's in 1989 as well. I moved back to Lake Tahoe from St. Thomas US Virgin Islands, and I went to Circuit City and bought a very nice Technics rack system with 10 or so Cd's. 2 of them were Tears For Fears "Sowing The Seeds Of Love" and Lenny Kravitz "Let Love Rule". There's your Jane Birken.. Nice Cd set, Mike, and your 1234 Punk comp must be excellent ! The Saints on a comp, a beauty, for sure. I will have a vinyl OG on their debut.. the power of positive thinking ! Haha
Hi Mike- well this was quite fun! I’ll echo Steve about that ‘Piper’ …I’ve never seen that either! Now streaming that Flunk album- quite nice! The vocals remind me of a more subdued Björk in a way….musically it’s all over the place in a good way, too- ‘Blind My Mind’ is an immediate favorite 🤔 Good stuff, indeed! Cheers-R
Hi Richard, I was listening to the Feeder album you recommended last night. Good stuff, Cement and Descend are two favourites after one listen. It might be my next CD purchase. Cheers Mike
@ Hey Mike- glad that Feeder went over well! Both Cement/Descend were the first 2 songs that stuck with me back in the day- good stuff! ‘High’ was another hit off that one 😎 Cheers-R
Nice to see your entry, Mike. I am surprised to know you have so any CDs. I'm used to seeing you show vinyl. I saw that Piper at the Gates of Dawn box set once. I wanted to get it but hadn't the money. Now it's very expensive!
Hi Peter, when I was sorting out what to show I realised that my CD collection has a lot of bands I don't have on vinyl. In particular European prog that I bought in the 90s and 00s. I should really show some of this on my channel. Cheers Mike
Hey Mike! I've never seen that version of 'Piper', looks real nice, very much like the Tull book style. Cheers!
Cheers Steve. It's a really good set, plenty of extras.

Good to see another member of the 1989 CD Multi changer club Mike !
Multi changers are so good for playing boxsets.
Hi Mike, Nice looking Jane Birkin box. I have that Piper set! Very cool. I haven't even heard of Martin Carthy! I enjoyed the video 🙂

Hi JT, The punk collection is excellent if you want to know about British punk. I couldn't resist the Jane Birkin boxset. Cheers Mike
Yes, I've been hungry to get into more British and Irish punk in the past 4 years.. I've learned and enjoyed a lot more since then !
Great entry Mike. Nice getting something Norwegian at the end there 😊
I'm becoming a big fan of Flunk. Aurora fans will love them. Cheers Mike
