Hey Ross! Here's a thought that occurred to me about the Kellen Moore interview. Could that be two pronged? He worked with McCarthy. Could that question come up if he wants to work with him again. With the garuntee he would step in as the interim HC and top candidate to succeed him if the McCarthy experiment goes bad in a couple of years? This does three things. Keeps Loomis penchant for hiring pre-Saints connections. Second gives Kellen Moore a back door option to get to HC to silence the "He's not ready", critics. While having the chance to groom Rattler and/or a high QB draft pick in 2026 or 2027 he could use while being a future HC. Third would be letting McCarthy and Loomis focus on hiring a DC without that candidate having to worry about the OC situation not being filled yet. It may also make sense on the McCarthy silence.

Qb, Wr, Ol, Rb depth, Def positions. It’s a multi-Year rebuild that I don’t think a young coach can accomplish or is willing to undertake.

I don't think Kinsbury wants to fix Carr when he has the younger talent of Daniels. Moore is in a similar place to Kinsbury. If he leaves the Eagles it'll be because he believes he can turn the team around in 2 to 3 years. He'd essentially be betting on himself.

Keeps Loomis penchant for hiring pre-Saints connections. Second gives Kellen Moore a back door option to get to HC to silence the "He's not ready", critics. While having the chance to groom Rattler and/or a high QB draft pick in 2026 or 2027 he could use while being a future HC. Third would be letting McCarthy and Loomis focus on hiring a DC without that candidate having to worry about the OC situation not being filled yet. It may also make sense on the McCarthy silence.

I’m not sounding alarm bells right now. If we miss on McCarthy, then I will. I think McCarthy is best for the job, as he can build this damn thing up again. We need everything. Qb, Wr, Ol, Rb depth, Def positions. It’s a multi-Year rebuild that I don’t think a young coach can accomplish or is willing to undertake.

Gayle Benson, the Jacksonville Jaguars could not attract a talented HC because no one wanted to work with their GM. The owner fired Trent Baalke and hired a HC in 2-3 days. The Saints are in the same situation, part ways with your GM who has run your organization into the ground, managed the WORST salary cap in professional sports, and his player valuation is outdated. Fire Mickey Loomis and the talent will come!!!

Weaver does feel very similar to Glenn. I wouldn't be surprised if it's him (assuming McCarthy doesn't want the Job). Kafka seems to want it which....eeeh makes me nervous. I don't think Kinsbury wants to fix Carr when he has the younger talent of Daniels. Moore is in a similar place to Kinsbury. If he leaves the Eagles it'll be because he believes he can turn the team around in 2 to 3 years. He'd essentially be betting on himself.
