David Prowse interviewed on Saturday Night At The Mill on the BBC, 1980. Star Wars

28th June 1980. Darth Vader* appears on the BBC's Saturday Night At The Mill show while the Musicians Union try to disrupt proceedings by getting what sounds like the Sali Army to play Rule Britania outside.
*okay, David Prowse but it's a sillier sentence otherwise.

I met David back in Sheffield meadow hall, he was a giant gentleman and a really good laugh, I thanked him for his green cross code man,I loved meeting him he was brilliant

Lucas screwed the guy over a barrel by refusing to let him reprise the Vader role in future Star Wars productions. He blamed Prowse for giving away plot details of Return Of The Jedi(which Prowse always denied , I might add!). Lovley guy , who made a huge contribution to blockbuster cinema. So sad he's gone. But he'll never be forgotten. I grew up with the original Trilogy. I was 11 years old when the original came out. Never felt the same about the later Star Wars movies as I felt about the original three.

Who is to say that Lucas was obligated to do that? And what gives anyone the right to leak anything? It wasn't his movie. I met Prowse once. Then i understood what i had heard. A real jackass.
