I felt that way about Leroy most of the cool AA characters were left put except Eddy and he reminds of the main character from the last dragon movie.

Lidia is a really corny boring character, its just the same 3 moves over and over again... steve vs drag is more interesting

So Drag players spamming WR2 into d2 / b12 or Steves mixing b1 or d/f2 into almost every poke or 50/50 are more interesting in this regard? You simply like these characters more... that's all. It is natural for every advanced player to use the best tools of a given character - Lidia is no exception. It's really hard to imagine Mishima players not spamming electrics and hellsweeps or Jins not abusing f4 at tournaments. No professional Tekken player attends tournaments to entertain viewers with many different, cool and hard combos of their favorite characters, but pick a good tournament char and do everything to win that shit.
