Rory is not even in this, and I feel like we've gotten so much insight on him with the Doctor's line at 2:17. Rory is my favorite companion, he had come so far from being the timid nurse Amy wouldn't admit is her boyfriend, to the man the lived 2,000 years to protect her, and crossed light years to save her and their baby. He's basically an action hero. But he likes to quiet life, and doesn't want Amy to know that he remembers being the Last Centurion.
RedDragonForce2 Maybe, although I don't remember a lot of people lamenting Eccleston's departure at the time (even though I'm sure he had many fans). I think some resonate a bit more strongly than others.

Eccleston wasn't as memorable when you have David FREAKIN' Tennant coming off of Harry FRIGGIN' Potter: Goblet of FLIPPIN' Fire!! Yet, I will always remember Eccleston because he was a good Doctor. It actually took me a year to like David Tennant in the role, and part of that was NOT recognizing him playing Barty Jr. Also, in hindsight, Eccleston's motivation made sense. He's a Doctor who's just recently came off of (to his knowledge) wiping out ALL the Time Lords in the Time War. That's pretty heavy stuff and his time was a bit darker for his one-year tenure. The weirdest episode I ever saw was also one of the best, if only because of the Doctor's victory. "EVERYONE LIVES!!!" (That's the only hint I'm giving!!) ;)
Moments like this made me love this period in Doctor Who. The Doctor has a family--not just friends--and you just feel that bond. It's beautiful and I miss it so much.

I've got to say: I just love that panoramic view of the T.A.R.D.I.S. just after the Doctor and Amy step out. It really was a beautiful design ( the current one is brilliant too of course, although more so now with the chalkboards and bookshelves). But what I really love about the end point is Murray Gold's usage of the toy sounds (speaking of which: does anyone know how he made those sounds). To me, it just creates an atmosphere of sleepy cosiness, but with the knowledge that you are abseloutely safe. The lighting could be adding to that sentiment too, I suppose.

I've always felt like I've lost someone. I can't remember who, but every time I think about it, I'm really sad because I feel like someone important in my life has died, but I can't remember who. It's really creepy and sad because none of my family members that I have known have died. My family members that have died died before I was born or I didn't know them. I really don't know who I've lost. That's why Donna is maybe my favorite companion, because I know how she feels. The confusion, knowing at the back of my mind that someone is gone forever, someone who I might never remember. It's like it happened in another life. I even had a dream about it once. When I woke up, I cried so much. I didn't know why I was crying because it was only a person in a dream who probably wasn't real. As I'm typing this I'm realizing that I have been clenching my teeth and my throat hurts, like I'm choking back tears. In a way, I'm glad I don't remember because I know It would be too much for me and I might never stop crying if I did remember.

We failed miserably and as we stared at the desolate wasteland the world had become, he/she suddenly kind of jumped onto a cloud and left into the sky, like they died and went to heaven? Eleven is my doctor and whilst i absolutely LOVE Capaldi in the latest season there is something wonderful about finding these mini episodes. It tugs at my heart and fills my chest and I'm reminded of where it all began, where my love for the show came from. Whether or not you love or hate the other doctors ( I personally love them all) there will always be something so magical about that one regeneration that hooked you too the show, the one that ran away with you and showed you the universe.
Vocoded Glasses This TARDIS for me just looked so whimsical and like a beautiful fun house. It suited Matt's Doctor perfectly, giving that sense of fun and adventure like his character had. I don't think the current one looks as beautiful as this one, but it suits Capaldi and is nice in its own way.

Memories, it's realy weird what stays with you and what fades. I remember one of my brothers reading the Radio Times my mother had just brought in the house and asking if he could watch a new series called Doctor Who. They had a regular order for the Radio Times and the TV Times at the newsagents down the road. My mum asked if it interfered with the pools results and my brother said no, it was on after. My parents agreed as long as it didn't interfere with them checking their football pools. I can't remember what I had for tea that evening nor anything else up to the time of the first ever episode. Well, I was only 4 years old.

that's so strange because i've never told anyone this, but my first memory was also about the first episode of doctor who which was weird since i saw it in mexico? I was at a furniture store and i think i was 5 or 6 and my parents told me to go look at the televisions while they went to buy furniture, so little me just sat there in front of the multiple TVs. I remember being terrified of mannequins for awhile, but the funny thing is i didn't know i was watching doctor who until later when i got myself to watch the whole series and i realized, hey! This is the thing that traumatized me of mannequins when i was small! And there's the melting guy! Oh, and the girl who swung on the rope! Love that girl. And her mom. But it's weird because i moved to a different city and never went back to mexico when i was like 10, and i don't remember much about the city before. I also have a diary that i've kept everyday but it only started after i moved, and once i moved i had this friend who kept pestering me to watch dw, she was super obsessed and knew everything there is to know, and she was probably one of the most eccentric people ever. Even after she moved schools, she came back to visit me, even though it was always for just 5 minutes in the parking lot. The last time i saw her she was wearing tardis earrings and i noticed them and she said, "did you ever watch it?" i told her no and she said that i should watch it for her because she's moving cities. Coincidentally I started watching it the day she moved away to a different city, at like 1am because i was stressed and just felt like watching TV. She's never talked to me again since she left, besides a few instagram comments here and there. This is really weird because i've never thought about it wow i hope no one i know in real life finds this

I found myself remembering the episode when the Doctor and Amy go to WWII London and see Daleks, but Amy didn't recognise them despite the Daleks transporting the whole world across the galaxy. We have to assume that the timeline was changed so that didn't happen as we remember it...

So... to make a point, The Doctor creates another mini fixed point in time... I'm starting to see a trend here. He did this in his previous incarnation when he first met Martha Jones that day in the hospital, just to make a point.
RedDragonForce2 Not quite. With Martha, he created an intentional time loop by crossing back into his own time line to make a point. This is a predestination paradox. The Doctor brought Amy to the fair to buy herself an ice cream because when she was a child, she was bought an ice cream by her future self. He didn't create it, he's just adhering to it. A fixed point loop, destiny, unchangeable, always having happened, always happening, always to be happening, beyond the reigns of usual causality.

A Person Well, it depends on which theory of the universe you adhere to. And technically, a predestination paradox is one of the examples in the show of time actually being fixed, as it CAN'T be changed. Example being when The Doctor meets the Astronaut on the shore. When that moment was changed, time went caput. When it was fixed, all proceeded as normal. That was predestination paradox, so it HAD to happen. A fixed point in time.

This is what the 11th Doctor is at his best! I miss innocent genial 11.
He prevented two supernovas, fights monsters and aliens of every shape, color and size imaginable, rebooted the universe, etc. etc...and he's scared of something as trivial as a ghost train. WTF Doctor! Lol.

I found myself remembering the episode when the Doctor and Amy go to WWII London and see Daleks, but Amy didn't recognise them despite the Daleks transporting the whole world across the galaxy. We have to assume that the timeline was changed so that didn't happen as we remember it...

This is a predestination paradox. The Doctor brought Amy to the fair to buy herself an ice cream because when she was a child, she was bought an ice cream by her future self. He didn't create it, he's just adhering to it. A fixed point loop, destiny, unchangeable, always having happened, always happening, always to be happening, beyond the reigns of usual causality.

Jpicc89 Thats because in time travel they make sense. In reality time cannot be re-written everything is fixed

Well, it depends on which theory of the universe you adhere to.
And technically, a predestination paradox is one of the examples in the show of time actually being fixed, as it CAN'T be changed.
Example being when The Doctor meets the Astronaut on the shore. When that moment was changed, time went caput. When it was fixed, all proceeded as normal. That was predestination paradox, so it HAD to happen. A fixed point in time.
