Is it a problem when Buddhism becomes cool and is picked up by celebrities, especially when it's often forgotten quicker than it was adopted? Professor Robert Thurman looks at the effects that the commodification of Buddhism is having on its approach into Western lives.

This is true. Tbh I was interested in Buddhism since I was young. I was fascinated by Japan and the peace of the culture. I didn't actually get a buddhist experience since i was 23 and in boot camp at great Lakes. I loved it but i didn't really practice until about 4 or 5 years later. It is a way of life. It makes me happy, drives me to be the person I want to be.
