Join me for day 1 of our 12 Days of Christmas in July Tutorial Series. Today I'm creating another fabulous paper bag mini album but I'm adding an unexpected twist to make it faster and easier to make. I'm using the My Favorite Christmas collection from Echo Park. My family does not live near us, so I most certainly would love to spend time with my family, especially our great-granddaughters who are growing up so fast & I am missing all of that!
Missing the littles is tough during the holidays!
The Christmas Markets in Europe are fabulous. Actually, is love to go to the Berkshires in Massachusetts to the farm that used to belong to my cousins. It always seemed so cozy and smelled of fresh bread baking in the wood burning stove.
These paper bag projects just get better and better.
I'm a very bread motivated person so I'm in!
A beach on the Gulf of Mexico is my favorite place in the world to visit and that will work for me. Tell Tech Hubby as always he did a great job. Thanks for all his hard work

I'm amazed with this album!! It doesn't even look like a paper bag album. It looks so beautiful! I think I would like to spend Christmas traveling to different places to see different traditions.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a European Christmas market at the holidays, but even a mountain cabin or a lodge here in the NC mountains could be a lovely Christmas getaway! I love paper bag albums, and this project looks like a fun and polished version- I will give this a try! Thank you~

Beautiful album! I have never made a paper bag album. I may need a little more explanation before I try this one. If you have a beginner tutorial you can recommend, I’d greatly appreciate it. 💕💕💕💕💕💕

I would love to spend my Christmas Holiday in Switzerland. Christmas is beautiful there. While I was stationed in Germany, I would spend my Christmas there when I could not or did not come stateside….

I have paper bags I bought recently (white). I need to go through all my Christmas paper and stack them together so I don't lose them! A nice dream of how I'd like to spend Christmas is in a cabin with a big window watching snow coming down (don't see that happening) 🙂

I would love to go back to Italy for Christmas. It is such a beautiful place on its own. I have seen videos of Italy at Christmas time it is gorgeous. In the towns square most have a Christmas tree decorated lovely. I liked what you created for day 1. I am going to give it a go to make one. TYFS 🤗💕🤗🎄

Beautiful Album! We usually spend Christmas Eve with my family and on Christmas Day we spend it with our kids and grandkids. Not sure if I wuld want to go anywhere else on Christmas

#techhubby--thank you for the snowy intro. I am in 116-degrees Nevada and can use all the flakes I can get. Darling Christmas album. I have never made one before, but love the paper bag idea and all the fun inserts, so I think this is the year. Unless, of course, I find a way to visit Venice, Italy. Then, of course, I would look for some lovely Italian papers and make it when I got back to the US of A.
I'm looking forward to the time we can spend the holidays in the desert. No snow for me lol

Nice paper choices on that cover! Love the floral cluster that reflects the poinsettia paper. As I use hardware weight kraft paper bags for all the pages in my photo albums, I buy cases of 500 bags at a time. I love creating with paper bags. It will be fun to try your binding technique. I like that you pay attention to coordinating spreads...provides a nice, cohesive look. I am so happy to see this TH-cam series starting! Falling snow looks wonderfully festive...please pass along compliments to Tech Hubby. Many years ago, a girlfriend and I spent Christmas in Hawaii. We attended a Christmas Eve candlelight church service...the congregation singing every other verse in Hawaiian. There wasn't anyone leading the singing...everyone just seemed to know all the pauses, inflections and various parts...the most beautiful harmonies I've ever heard. No matter where I am, I can close my eyes and I am right back there, hearing those voices and watching candle flames passing from person to person until the entire space was bathed in a beautiful glow. It was Midnight when we left the church...much to our great surprise, there were trumpeters and angels on the roof performing Joy to the World!! Took my breath away!!.

I love the album and the intro to the video! That’s a hard question for me, I’ve never even thought about spending Christmas anywhere else but home, especially now after losing my mom it was her favorite holiday. I think in mountains since I grew up around them but moved away.

I’m embarrassed to even ask this….
The very first step you show gluing the bags to the cover.
You ran double sided tape along edge, then put glue.
The next step you folded it over and did the other side.
I got lost when you folded it over to adhere in place.
Is it adhering in place with room along the spine to do the same to the other side?
My brain is thinking if it’s folded over and adhered, how can you open it and do the other side?
Ummm I think I'm not following your question. There are 2 inserts and they are glued one on each side. Hope that helps.
