    Hi Peter, I haven't been around, broke my back in August, but I'm ready to get back into it.
    Wanted to say sorrel has oxalic acid in it. Not to eat too much at a time. Google can probably explain better than me.
    And thanks for being here. 👍

    Hi! Love, love love your videos, Peter! Do let me know if i am sowing spinach for microgreens, do i need to put a layer of growing medium on top of the seeds? Not sure, since the seeds are quite thick like Beetroot....

    I eat wood sorrel from the wild, I’m excited to cultivate some of my own!! If you boil it you can makes some sorrel jelly taste like lemon tart

      Me too! I'll go to our local store to see if I can find some seeds so I can grow them too, so excited!!

    A glass salt shaker works really good and doesn't have any static

    I'm gonna grab some seeds from my backyard wild sorrel. I'll try growing them and taste. There are a gazillion seeds and they are all organic.

    Hello there. Is this the same process for the Red Veined variety? Or is there a different procedure? Thanks in advance.

    Great video as usual man! What prices do you give restaurants with your Sorrel?

    Hi - awesome channel- Thanks for the information! Where did you get your water hose and mister - does it have a special attachment for a sink spout?

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens
      @PrincetonMicrogreens  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just Home Depot honestly… i also went to a plumbing supply store and pipped in the hose under the sink through a reverse osmosis system (also from Home Depot).

    Great video, Id recommend you always put you jar of seeds away and coverd BEFORE you mist your tray lol

    Do you cut red veined sorrel down to the base and discard the medium like micros or does it grow back once cut?

  • @karlgookey
    @karlgookey ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you say that the weight is essential? I sowed two trays of sorrel over a week ago (without weight) and probably only about 5% of the seeds germinated. I'd normally assume it's a seed quality issue but each tray has seeds from a different supplier.

    Hi! Hoping someone sees this; did I understand this correctly? You water once in the beginning and not again until you remove from blackout?

  • @aaronmarinucci1249
    @aaronmarinucci1249 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How many oz per tray do these yield typically? Is it same grow for red vein sorrel?

    Do your microgreens stay nice and crisp when put into the refrigerator?
    Have you kept any at home for a week or two to try? Thanks, I am just
    beginning to grow these. I grew my first tray of pea microgreens and they turned out good.
    I harvested them when dry and they tasted great. But I don't have a container
    that doesn't sweat so they got limp. I want them to stay crisp>

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens
      @PrincetonMicrogreens  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but thats why we have the moisture absorbing packets that we put in with the greens. It keeps the moisture down inside the container when they are in the refrigerator. We've had them stay good up to 4 weeks!

    Awesome grow! Have you tried red veined sorrel? I got some seeds and am experimenting with them. I followed these steps for the red veined and I am going on to Day 3 this morning. Seeds are so tiny, but not germinating like these guys.

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens

      I haven’t yet.
      Been really hard convincing myself to spend $350 on 1lb of seed 😂

      @@PrincetonMicrogreens yeah i only ordered 1 oz to test haha they are super pricey! update: a few of the seeds have germinated.

  • @rainbowmicro8715
    @rainbowmicro8715 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you don't water any of your microgreens while they are weighted? Or is it just certain ones that you don't water?

  • @burjisbhathena6979

    Seeds are available where?

  • @marycaudle5231
    @marycaudle5231 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was wondering if you think the containers you use
    sweat less than plastic.

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens
      @PrincetonMicrogreens  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t, which is why I use the moisture absorbing packets when packaging. You can see the link in the description of all my videos.
      I also very highly recommend keeping your microgreens in coolers when at the market and not out for display.
      I know this stinks… but to this day, I still haven’t figured out a way to display in the sun without excessive sweating.

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens

      Not needed from what we found unless your water source is just way lopsided 😉
