BTS "All this glory to ARMYs" Awarded with the Order of Cultural Merit - English Sub (Full) / SBS

- K-pop septet BTS awarded with the Order of Cultural Merit from the South Korean government on October 24 (KST).
During the award ceremony of '2018 Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards' held at Olympic Park, Seoul, Cultural Minister Do Jong-hwan gave the medal to the seven members of BTS on behalf of President Moon Jae-in.
BTS' seven members, the youngest and the first-ever idol group members to receive the medal, were awarded for their outstanding meritorious services to the promotion of Korean pop culture and Hangul, the Korean alphabet.
On this day, the government gave cultural awards to 36 artists or groups, among which cultural medals were bestowed to 13.
After wrapping up its North American/European leg of 'LOVE YOURSELF' world tour, the members of BTS returned to Seoul to attend the award ceremony.

Not only has he lead BTS In such a good way In America & handled diff. situations with so much witty or In any other place but he also never tries to be the only one In the spot light. I love this thing about him. Not only he encourages his member for diff. things he also wants BTS to shine as BTS not like 'RM and BTS'.

They say it's impossible for idols to get Cultural Merit Awards in their 20s but here, we have BTS. The time that BTS received the Cultural Merit Awards, Jungkook is just 21 years old back then, Taehyung is 22 years old, Jin and Yoongi are both 25 years old, Jhope and Namjoon are also both 24 years old while Jimin is just 23 years old back then. They really did it during their 20s becoming the youngest recipients in the history. Everything that's impossible, becomes possible by their hardwork and passion. They are really in different. I'm really proud of them all. I love you and I purple you.

NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HIS LEADERSHIP SKILLS
These guys know that without ARMY, they would not be in this position and they make it a BIG priority to give back and let ARMY know they are really appreciative. JK and V spend a lot of time online interacting with fans. They all do but those two seem to be the most active. RM and Jimin always mention ARMY multiple times when they appear on TV for any reason. It works both ways and during this pandemic it has been a valuable way to keep everyone connected and hopeful and SANE. If we can get this under control and get them out touring, the reaction is gonna be just awesome to see. The love is gonna come gushing out and you're gonna see a lot of crying on stage and this time it will be everyone, not just Jimin and V and JK, who are usually the most emotional. We gotta get them active for at least one big tour before Jin has to go in the military.

Where is this news. I want to read. If its true the shameless audacity of those entertainment agencies. Lowering the standards will render the award meaningless. Any Tom tick harry gets away with one. It would be an insult to the senior artist who got awarded for lifetime achievement contribution. Its amazing BTS achieved staggering Heights at such a young age which veteran are unable to in their lifetime.
They can't have everything BTS have without attaining the same standards. But they can all strive for such standards. That's the best they can do.

Anyways, all of them has different contribution in the success of their group...💜😊💜

Out of all the members, Jungkook is the Youngest and at this age receiving this honor was just amazing. All the members looks so handsome and dashing and professionals, they look so proud and happy. I started crying just thinking about where they were predebut and where they're are standing now. Taehyung - a kid growing up with his grandparents on a farm. Suga running away to pursue his dreams. Jin is truly handsome. I was just looking at his face while he was giving his speech and he looked so beautiful. And RM came out with those glasses. Beautiful. He looked absolutely amazing. All the members made me so proud. I laughed when I thought about all the other times they dressed casual for awards and just imagined RM assessing their outfits one by one. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 "Junkook, where's your tie?!" This was the GOVERMENT. Time to ditch the tees and jeans. Dress up right and go get yet another award for your 6 years of hard work. The best part is that they are GENTLEMEN and always polite and humble with everyone. Perfect ambassadors. Well deserved. Everyone is noticing Korea and wanting to know what their songs say. Now that they've been studying English for a while and a few of them can speak it fairly well, maybe they will write more songs and mix Korean and English together as JK did with Euphoria.

-According to the revised Military Service Act, pop culture artists can postpone their military service until the age of 30 if they are recommended by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the recipient of a cultural medal or award. The association points out that it is nearly impossible for people in their twenties to receive the Order of Cultural Merit as one of the criteria to be a candidate for the award is 15 years of activity. Kpop singers who start activities in their teens would not be eligible until their 30s at which time the postponement provision is of no use. The KMCA points out the lack of equity when venture capitalists and those benefiting from venture capital are allowed postponement as well as high culture, artists, and athletes (who receive exemptions)
EQUITY?! Equity? All agencies in SK have access to the same resources as those BH had when they started: minimal funds, artists, recording studios, staff and internet platform. If a 5 yo group (way back 2018) and a small company could make it that far, what unfair equity you're talking about? BTS received this award in their 20s, how can it be impossible? Until now you can't accept the fact that BTS can make those impossible, possible?
This is so funny, those agencies were the ones held meeting 2 years ago requested musician military exemption using BTS achievements, without Bighit attended the meeting. Now, the regulation is official and the standard is cultural merit like BTS has, they all complain. IT IS NOT BIG HIT, BTS AND ARMYS FAULT WHY THOSE AGENCY THINK IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEIR IDOLS TO ACHIEVE IT. THEY'VE BEEN USING BTS FOR THIS EVER SINCE.
Those 26 companies started this issue and when the Government said that in able to qualify you need achievements like cultural merit which only BTS qualifies and those 26 agencies files complaint now saying the standard is too high.
BTS IS THE STANDARD.
