The loud fans are likely due to the APU thermal paste needing replaced. Especially the PS4, that's why it's so noisy without it feeling hot. More than likely the same thing the the Xbox. 7yrs is way past thermal pastes lifespan. It dries out and loses its effectiveness.

i was thinking it was possibly thermal paste, when i get time im gonna take them both apart clean them out and put some new thermal paste in
