We also visited Switzerland during Spring. ❤️We did a video of our visit as well. We stayed in Lucerne and travelled by bus to Interlaken and Grindelwald to have the best view of the Swiss Alps. Its really very nice. Everything is so clean and laid back. Feels like we are in a movie scene. Every angle looks like a postcard. 😍😍😍
Hardly anyone walking along the Kapellbrücke lift up their heads to appreciate the marvelous paintings covering the roof of the walkway. Painted triangular frames tell different tales of the city's rich history, varying from the life and death of Lucerne's patron saint St. Leger to legends of its other patron saint St. Maurice.
I enjoyed walking again the steps I did on my own with a daughter who wanted to travel there in 2016 as part of a Go Ahead Jewels of the Alpine tour group of the Alps in Europe. Annecy France and Lucerne were my favorite cities from 3 visits to see Europe, but of course it was still amazing for me to see London, Paris, and Rome. When we first arrived in Lucerne it was cloudy with no mountains in view. Then after supper the sky cleared and out came the sun. The surrounding mountains, the bright blue water of Lake Lucerne, and all the large white swans in the water were amazing. From St. Louis
This seems to be a charming city, I hope I can visit it when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
The train station has a Migros that I visited twice, once in 2018 and once in 2019, and both times I bought carbonara pasta and lasagna there, and had it while I was on the way to my airbnb in interlaken (2018) and Iseltwald (2019). God I miss Switzerland so much.
