The tensor chip is designed for AI. That is the direction Google is going. So I will not be surprised if the phone gets hot during gaming. I have had the 7A for 6 months now. No issues whatsoever. The phone is super smooth, battery life is good, camera is stunning. The phone did get hot during the first day of use but after that no such issues.
