while obviously this is no where close to the console versions, it feels like a surprising amount of effort went into making it feel like the original. Didn't expect them to include the fly-by view of the level showing where the remote is in this version.
I remember having this, but I could never get far into it because of the absurd password system. The N64 version was much better realised and laid out.
So weird how my brain can remember the game but nothing about it, then when I watch this vid it all comes right back. The haunted house part used to scare me so bad, I hated the ghost!!!
Best 2d platform game ever. I'm sure other people have favorites like Hollow Knight, Ori, or Cuphead, but this is mine without a doubt. No other platformer was as difficult and rewarding as this one. I never beat this game as a kid, hell I could barely even figure out what the objectives were lol. But that's what made it so interesting, along with the skill it demanded from the player. I love how much this game gets right when it comes to the 2d platformer genre-- the camera is close to the character, there are tons of items to collect, minimal hand-holding and plenty of things to figure out on your own. If the GBC was capable of the cutscenes the PS was capable of, it would have been better than the console editions.
I remember owning this game, but I never beat it. Thank you for the play through and the memories behind it.
I f*cking love that lizard.
this is my fav gbc game, underrated

Well at least it’s graphically superior to the 3D0!!

I had several of the console versions, but not this one sadly! Looks very fun! 😁

Thank you for the video upload, sweet memories.
My review. OK music, good graphics. Bad level design
It’s that typical maze of boredom level design that permeated most GBC platformers. I wonder why
Classic gex
