What happens to the tendon that was cut? Does it reattach to the bone? Does it affect the mobility of the foot?

I wish we would have seen this before we had this surgeon do the wrong procedure on our son. We live in Dubai and they did something to his foot on inner part for tarsal coalition? And short achilles tendon but I honestly do not thing he did anything for "coalition" he tells us oh well now we will wait until he's 15, he is currently 12, because he didn't correct flat feet! So frustrating. But I am happy we found this video and I remained persistent that something wasn't right.

I wonder how this affects the muscular skeletal movement of the gait. If you don't fix the shortened calf muscle and Achilles tendon won't the gait be off and won't the muscles fatigue?

Would this implant get picked up by the metal detector when going through airport security? I wouldn't want it to be an ordeal every time I travel.

Better if you remove the wire before you seat the implant and just use the guide wire when trying the different sizers

I've seen so many videos on correcting excessive pronation, but I'm 99% sure only surgery can correct my feet. Should I get this procedure?

I’ve just had it 2 months back. Does it affect the ankle dorsiflexion - mine is too limited. And do you always have some pain over the dorsum of ankle especially upon trying to move the ankle?

also was it really painful to walk afterwards? how long was it before you were able to take the boot off and walk/run normally? are you able to roll your ankle in any direction without any pain? sorry for all the questions i don’t see anyone experiencing this and 2 doctors have dismissed me bc they said i just have flat foot when CLEARLY only ONE is misaligned!! i’m desperate for hope at this point :,(

@@cassandraleiva884 hey! no worries about the questions, im happy to help :) for the cost at least for me it was pretty expensive but insurance covered most of it, i think the fees came out to about $500 per foot, i got both done. normally if youre getting both done you would wait up to 6 months between each procedure, but since i wasnt physically going to campus and didnt have to worry about missing school i did them a month apart and ended up taking 4 weeks off of work. after the first surgery they put basically a soft cast on my foot, which i couldnt take off, and i was on crutches for i believe 2 weeks? after that they gave me the boot which i wore for about another 2 weeks, and i went back to work during that time and did ok! i work in retail so most customers felt bad and didnt ask me to help them find stuff lol, and my coworkers helped when i needed stuff from high up, so its def possible to be active with the boot on but youll just have to be conscious and be careful :) finally after the boot they gave me a soft brace which gave me really good support, and you can wear normal shoes with them. the brace i wore for a bit, it was just until i was comfortable without it. during the time i had to boot i would try to walk a little and i wont lie, it did hurt pretty bad, but with the boot on i was completely fine and after the 2 weeks i was fine with just the brace. the second surgery was the same but instead of crutches i got one of those knee scooters which i def recommend more that crutches! after the same process for the other foot i was able to walk fine, my ankles dont roll in anymore and my legs are aligned. sometimes during the first year if i walked on uneven ground i would just step wrong and it would hurt my ankle, but nothing crazy that lasted more than a minute or 2, you just have to remember that your foot will be in a different position almost than it used to be. also, i can roll my ankles but if i roll it outwards so that my arch is pointing toward the ground, it feels not really painful but just as though something is stopping my foot from going any farther, but thats because the hyprocure is meant to stop your ankle from overpronating so thats just what its meant to do, but no issues for just walking normally. as for finding a doctor, i had been told my whole life to just get insoles for shoes and theyd be fine, and i even went to physical therapy and nothing had helped, so finally i literally just looked up like "certified hyprocure surgeon" or something and found one near me, im near Ventura and went to Dr. Brayton Campbell, hes amazing! sorry for the super long reply, i hope it helps and lemme know if anything wasnt clear! :)

@@cherrygator this was extremely helpful omg thank you so much. i’m so happy to hear you had a great experience with it, i’m nervous for mine if i get it which i hope i will because it seems like the best option. i got my ankle misaligned from an injury at work (moving those damn carts) and i’m still working there for various reasons so i cant leave which sucks and i got denied for workers compensation because they said basically i didn’t have broken bones that i was fine, and they didn’t even put me on light duty or anything which was not very nice of them and it’s been a tough year (yeah is been a whole year lol) but im hoping to get this procedure done and have a great outcome like you :) thank you so much again i have hope!!
