Awesome video man I just in the last couple of yrs started fly fishing and I'm hooked on the reel singing best regards from Maine
No better sound or feeling than that for sure.
When that hook set and that reel spun... that's what we live for!
It was so sweet. Doesn't get much better than that.
There are plenty of bigs in that river, lots of white fish to feed them into 25-35 inch range... In a boat 30 -45 fish a day....
It's a cool river for sure. Need to do some more exploring throughout.
interesting handle,,,is that a switch rod? When you hook a Fontenelle fish start walking downsteam...hahaha
That is the truth for sure. It is a Douglas switch rod. I picked it up for cheap and the extra reach is pretty nice on big water when wade fishing. Some day I'll actually swing some stuff with it.
Awesome stuff man !
Thanks for watching
Great video, I want to head up there but have no idea where to start. I don't mind exploring but one video i saw the guy said there's more then 100 miles ?? don't know but thats alot of exploring. Just looking for a couple of general areas. Also It looks like there's alot of grass like the Bighorn do you know if there's sow bugs? Thanks
There is a lot of access. Where are you generally want to start from? Will help to recommend some areas.

Since I'm more of a shoulder season fisherman I'm thinking about staying a little lower in elevation. I'm thinking the stretch from I80 to the lake. Still huge area
Can't help you too much down there. I've only really ice fished the two arms before the confluence in that area.
Love the Upper Green
It's a river I need to explore more as a whole. Been fun so far. Want to do some floats next year for sure
Big bow, beast of a fight. Love it!
It was awesome. Glad it was on the bigger rod for sure.
@@TheRustedTrout had similar experience 20’ Brown on Red Water SD. Got big air when he hit, tried netting him, ran multiple times, emptied the reel. Love it!
Really can't beat that feeling.
Another great adventure! Close to Warren Br?... or closer to Fontenelle?
Been exploring both those areas. Can't wait to get back up there.
Beautiful river, and nice fish. You mentioned the fly as a lotus. Is it the iron lotus, or another pattern?
Thanks
Iron lotus. It's becoming a staple in my box
@@TheRustedTrout thanks for the reply. I'll have to tie up a few.
Great video. Is that BLM or National Forest land? Easily worn trails to hike from your parking spot?... or did you have to bush whack from spot to spot?
It's public land but not managed by either of those. I walked down the river to fish the spots I had access to. There is a good amount of parking but a lot of it is best accessed with a dirt boat
New sub ! Liked 🙏👍😍🙂
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed
Watch for Rattle Snakes in this area.
Good advice for sure.
my girlfriend kind of knows where you are she grew up in green river..
Nice. That's a sweet river to grow up by. I really want to keep exploring it. Every section I've fished has been a good time.
