David here I’ve been a movie TV for over 50 years. I vaguely remember this series as a boy growing up I just watched the movie from the 1940s with the same title very interesting to see how they adapted the TV series from the movie very close and some respects but you can see the changes they needed to make for television. I just found it by accident. I was searching for "The Farmer's Daughter" restaurant in Galena, Missouri. It's a local mom & pop restaurant where I live. Then this video came up. I had forgotten all about this show!! It was one of my favorites as a kid. When I saw this, it almost made my eyes sweat. I wish we had more family shows like this today. There are absolutely NO shows on television today that I can sit with my grandkids and watch. I remember laying on the Livingroom flor with my sister watching Andy, F-Troop, Lucy, and so many more. There is no more morality in syndication today. Everything today as far as tv shows is based on sex and violence. Where did Gunsmoke go? The Flintstones? The Jetsons? Captain Kangaroo? In the ' 80's, corporate America took over the media, then in the '90's foreign investors came in and developed multi-media. Instead of watching 3 over-the-air channels, it became thousands of channels over cable and satellite. America has lost all of it's integrity, it's values due to the overthrow of brainwashed Liberals.
Such a treat to be able to see this great show again. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid, and it's just as enjoyable now. Katie's arrival at the Morley house reminds me of Maria's in The Sound of Music (mistaking the butler for the Congressman), and there's also a similar scene where she upbraids her new boss for neglecting his son.
I was also thinking of Houseboat with Sophia Loren and Cary Grant, or Father knows best or perhaps Madam Secretary, also a combination of politics and family life.

It was a bit hard to hear but I LOVE the MINIMAL commercials, not 10 every two minutes on ridiculous subjects like drugs and healthcare, insurance. We should go back to this or get rid of them altogether.
Inger Stevens had a tragic life in her last years. She attempted to commit suicide several times and she had a habit of sleeping with her Male co-stars. She even had a secret marriage to a Black Man before she passed 😮😮😮

Oh God, already in 1963 the maid's reading the father the riot act. Today every commercial shows a woman or child telling hubby what a moron he is.
