dont forget that the 1990s also had Mary Reilly which was a Dr Jekyl Mr Hyde spin off movie about a maid character that interacted with Dr Jekyl/Hyde. the Mary Reilly movie was pretty good and underrated
I love James but credit Joe Bob, he has a large fan base and kept/cultivated it on the convention circuit. He already had the new show in the works when this interview happened and while I'm sure the handful of videos James had done about or mentioning Monstervision didn't hurt, it's a pretty big stretch to give James credit.
7:54 I like that idea, being a figment of his imagination, committing the crimes when he slips into "Mr. Hyde" mode. Although it doesn't actually explain anything in the story and plot, unless the whole thing turns out to be a fantasy story told by someone. Because it would do away with the whole scientific aspect, and the need for special effects, because the real killer was visible the whole time. So it would have to be told from the twisted perspective of the killer, because any other person would see it for what it really is.

Idk why but I prefer Monster Madness when it's just James talking about the movies Edit: also, I wonder what James thinks about the most recent invisible man movie, and about the Victor Frankenstein movie with Daniel Radcliffe. I think Victor Frankenstein was awesome, and would like to hear his thoughts on it.
Seeing through your eyelids wouldn't be a problem if you were invisible. You would be completely blind. Whether you're invisible because you're bending light around you, or light is passing though you, either way, it's not refracting off the lens into the retina. Therefore, the good news is, if you're blind, you don't have to worry about seeing through your eyelids. the bad news....
@@martinrosendahl9134 Yes. You're talking about a video that discussed DOZENS of movies as if it only discussed one. So, which one of the very many movies he discussed are YOU referring to? You just said "this one" when he mentioned like 100... which one?

Hell yeah!! Monster madness all year round!

I always loved the line from Hollow Man, It's amazing what you can do when you don't have to look at yourself in the mirror anymore.
There's more? YAY!
I could watch "new to me" Monster Madness content all year.
😄👍
Joe Bob Briggs was a must watch growing up. Always entertaining and dropping knowledge still.
Keep up the good work. I credit YOU for getting Joe Bob back on the air.

Joe Bob Briggs could play Norm Macdonald if they ever made a movie about him.
Before he died Norm could’ve played either Joe Bob or Tarantino
No one can play norm Macdonald. No one could ever capture that lightning in a bottle.
I know hollow man is a little whacky, but it portrayed the idea of being invisible to be kind of a terrifying thought.
I liked it as a "kid" and still like it as an adult, makes you peak your curiosity...also Kevin Bacon.
May the madness never end!
I watch these any day any month of the year!
So posting this in November doesn’t matter to me I’m just glad u did it!! :D
Was waiting for this one!!
Dude you rock!!!!! I feel like it would be so awesome to have rob zombie on your show and just talk about classic horror, two fans just chatting it up
That would be an interesting collab

You forgot to mention the “Son of the Invisible Man”, with Ed Begley Jr.
Haa! 1:04
This is actually the movie that got me most familiar with Kevin Bacon after seeing Tremors years before.

It's always Halloween in our souls
Richard Franklin directed both Psycho 2 and Link and hired Jerry Goldsmith to score both films.
Theres still a ton of horror movies James hasnt done like, color out of space, VHS, Malignant, the Resurreetecd, It Follows.
Hollow Man.
Sebastian Shaw vs Thanos.

Monster Madness for the monster lover in you.
Halloween ends the day before Thanksgiving.

MORE MORE MONSTER MORE!
Anyone else getting Norm Macdonald vibes?
Svengoolie lives forever! No personal checks!!
It's so funny how James has met many celebrities, but Joe Bob if the one that he gets starstruck with. Being a horror fan I think Its obvious.
Also saw this one in the cinema... not great, not bad... just good without being fantastic. The effects was mindblowing at the time..
You say that as if he discussed only 1 movie here...
