As a great fan of the work of Brendan Perry in DCD since 1983 and in its ARK solo album, I tried many times to listen to this "Songs Of Disenchantment" album, I thought an adjustment period was necessary to end to appreciat it. But it was impossible at each time, all tries were unbearable. As far as I'm concerned, this album represents perfectly what its name says, it is the witness of the worse performance of Brendan Perry, in the songs choice as in the interpretation, a complete desillusion, a disenchantment . I try to remove it from my memory to keep in mind all the great man did before this album.
