I think VisIbility Graph Analysis would be really helpful, particularly three dimensional visibility graph analysis as put forward by Tassos Varoudis and Sophia Psarra in ‘Beyond two dimensions: Architecture through three-dimensional visibility graph analysis’. It would be great to learn more about how we can use this analysis to understand three dimensional spatial relations in more complex spaces. Thank you!

@@gideonAschwanden Hi Thanks for the amazing space syntax video and sorry for interrupt you that I want to ask some questions about the video.
The question is about the gray parts that are't connected with others elements ( In 3:50) .
I'm wondering that before doing the angular step to test how viable the analysis is , the gray part present some colors (blue, green) , so is it appropriate that the not connected part also can make the comparison to others elements ?
      Thank you.

Yes, as long as they are drawn with the same technique. Think about it as multiple islands from the same archipelago. They are not connected but each island can be compared.

Hi. I have a question. i used geolocated map from open street map. then i edited the map using AutoCAD to make a new alternate road for analysis purpose. and then using depthmapx to run axial analyis and exported the file into .mif and open it in QGIS. Now i want make the map appearance more attractive like what u did in the video using backgound map, but when i import the map to QGIS, it seems the background doesn't appear. do you have any idea how i can use geolocated background 20:17 by manually matching geo map to the map that i edited ?. sorry for any mistake in my english

So I imported integration layer(mif.) to gis and while line values of integration displays "null" in attribute table. Although in depthmapX it has the attribute values in place. How can I resolve this issue. I would really appreciate your response ,Thanks in advance

The .mif file contains the geometry while the .mid file the values of the attributes hold. Keep them in the same folder and you should be ok. Good luck and let me know if it doesn’t work.

    HI I'm Yuru .
Thanks for the video that I can really understand it clearly and be able to follow all the steps . But there's some problems happened in the process . After I ran angular segment analysis , the values of evaluation came out to be same with each others . Taking "T64 Choice" for example, I set the R=400,800,2500,5000 metric, then the values of choice are all the same also maps are all the same , there's nothing differences between "T64 Choice" and "T64 Choice R=400,800,2500,5000 metric ". Is there any way that I can solve the problem or do I make the mistake in the process ?

Hi! This tutorial has been quite useful to me as a beginner in space syntax. I did the very same process as you did with a different network yet I obtained stark results: for instance, while your network presents differences between 800 and 2500 radio, mine is just the same for all the radios. Do you know what could be generating this behavior? Thank you very much in advance

    • @gideonAschwanden
