  • F-15 Strike Eagle II for Amiga was released in 1991, two years after its debut on PCs. It was basically the same game, though you get all 6 theatres right off - in first release for PC you only got 4. To get the Central Europe and North Cape you had to copy them from your F-19 installation. Later along with Desert Storm both maps were added in Scenario Disk Expansion released in 1992 (PC only).
I figured I should maybe do a short playthrough of this Amiga version. This time it will be short series showcasing each theatre from F-15 Strike Eagle II. First up is Middle East.
That title screen in this Amiga version is really bad-ass I have to admit. It was digitized version of the painting used as a box art for Amiga, Atari ST and Sega Mega Drive (PAL) releases. Apparently the man himself - Bill Stealey was most annoyed when he discovered that MicroProse had commissioned different box art for the Amiga/ST version of the game, although he did admit that the painting was pretty excellent.
