- The Girl Named Feriha - Episode 44 Summary:
The policemen shot Halil in his arm and the they arrest him. Koray anbd Seher take Gulsun to the hospital. Seher knows the truth from Koray, but she will tell everybody that Gulsun has fallen on the stairs. Feriha is out of the hospital but Emir stays there because of his injury. Aysun and Unal have a new argue, both of them accusing one another that they are not good parents for Emir. Mehmet suspects that Emir loves Feriha, but he wants to find out why Halil called Emir and not him, for example, and what does Emir do in all this story? Seher and Levent advise Mehmet to let the things how they are, because the most important is that Feriha is alive and well. Riza seems to understand a lot of what happened, but feeling guilty because he wanted to oblige his daughter to marry Halil, he doesn't say or do anything. Aysun is sad again when Emir comes home and she figures out that he and Feriha are together again.
Gulsun tells Feriha what she did. Hatice listens to their conversation at the door and understands that Gulsun lost her virginity with Koray. Emir explains to Koray that because Gulsun comes from a traditional family, the mistake of loving a man can be paid by destroying her future, because Gulsun will go in the countryside again and will be married by force with a man chosen by her parents. Hearing this, Koray decides to marry Gulsun and stay married for a while, and then to divorce. For Gulsun this is a very good step, but Koray has to burry his love for Hande, which proves to be difficult.

Every year, I resist myself a lot of times, but i always end up watching it. This is one of the series where you can see this type of love, passion, hunger, and strong chemistry. Their love, their kisses, it seems like they are for real. Such intense acting. They deserve millions of awards for this masterpiece.

I feel mehmet is one of the worst characters of the entire story. He doesn't have even a pint of patience, forgets the one's who saved his life. He even forget that what he did with Seher and snuck up into bed with her, while just the thought of her sister being friends with another guy is enough to almost beat him to death... Mehmet should have been treated same like he would do to others

I have watched this series before, I just couldn't watch the kidnap scenes again this time, he is so creepy. It saddens me that this kind of nightmare is probably still happening as we speak, due to daughters being palmed off as 'so called arranged marriages'. Today, October 2023 I read a story in FB told by a daughter. She was forced to marry her husband, she was emotionally abused (her husband had a mistress) and physically assaulted as well. She escaped and went home to the parents thinking she’d be safe. Her father and brother beat her good and would have killed her if she didn’t escape to the field behind her home. She collapsed near the road side. Fortunately a stranger (white man) saw her and took her to the hospital. The family never came and she never went back again…

When Emir proposed to Feriah, she bravely faced Emir to marry her instead. Koray was (not in her view) but was listening, Emir felt bad but Koray told him there was nothing new that he didn’t know already. Poor Koray.
Although, Hande had lived with Koray for about three months she never wanted her friends especially Emir to see Koray being intimate with her (unlike Feriah and Emir).
