- The Girl Named Feriha - Episode 45 Summary:
Hande is taken out of the hall where the marriage between Koray and Gulsun takes place. Hande accuses Feriha that she is the cause of her problems, because Gulsun, being a poor girl followed Feriha's example and grabbed a rich man making him her husband. Feriha doesn't say anything, but Riza and Mehmet are astonished at what Hande says. Mehmet wants to make his sister admit her relationship with Emir but she does not agree to speak about it. Riza advises his son to look only at the good side of the things, because God knows what's best for Feriha.
Riza asks Emir to not compromise Feriha in the public. Koray brings Gulsun at his house but he won't pass the doorway with her in his arms. Gulsun enters and is surprised seeing the wealth of Koray's family. Koray shows her to the bedroom and then goes to the Hills where he drinks till morning comes. When he comes back, drunk, he falls asleep in the kitchen, on a chair. Hande does exactly the same: she goes in the Hills and gets drunk. Emir, asked by Koray, takes care of her and brings her at his place.

I love so much of the scene were Emir and Feriha talking out at the window expressing their love to each other. This scene was so romantic. Both did the great job. I admired of Emir's character in this show, he's really a real man. I fell in love with this couple. They have an excellent chemistry.

Feriha is not so sure. This insecurity of Feriha needs to be addressed, or any further problems from Emir’s society may make Feriha believe that she is dreaming an impossible dream. Emir, be careful. Don’t leave Feriha alone to the wolves. Always be around to protect her. Not with your fists only, but protect her mental health too. She needs your strong mental support to navigate the route to lasting happiness with you in the context of large boulders in the road placed there by both your families, and also your friends, think Hande, think Chancu, think Sanem, work associates too.

I noticed that right after the marriage Koray changed from friendly to moody and morose and treated Gulsum lots different.
He realized his mistake right after the ceremony and was doomed.Gulsum only had stars in her eyes as seen when she walked into Korays' house for the first time.

Feriha tried to explain to Gulsum that marriage was more than this. Gulsum was in awe when she went to the home she would share with Koray, because she was sleeping on the floor at her uncle’s home, and now she was married and the woman of the house. Neither Gulsum nor Koray realized what this one night stand would cost them.

I’m looking at this series for a second time. Riza, Zehra, and Hatice clearly love their children. They do all they can for their children, and to keep their children safe from gossip. I’ve tried to understand how it is possible for young people to grow up into self respecting, thinking, and loving people when their parents constantly treat them like they are children. The only thing that changes is an increase in the severity of the punishment meted out when the young people don’t follow the social rules. How can people be expected to live in contentment and happiness under such conditions.
