Jerry is a phenomenal actor of all actors. This is great drama of life; hardships, rivalry, love, hatred, grudges, forgiveness, reconciliation and family.
Jerry is the best to show the pain of a child growing up with one angry parent. So many kids suffer when there is a divorce, and multiple extended families.
This is a very powerful story. I love the heartfelt conversation between LJ and XY. I remember my own family having conflict due to illegitimate children. My mother was very understanding and showed kindness to children outside marriage. My sister-in-law was suffering in silence when her husband preferred to be with the mistress. My brother loved the other family while my own parents tried to make up the lack of love that the legitimate children missed from their father. Unfortunately, the hatred and animosity between legitimate and illegitimate children continued in the second generation. I loved how WT made a priority to patch the broken pieces of the lives of the L and X. WT may sound irritating and her move tend to side with XJ but in reality, her wisdom caused the real healing of the bruised soul of LZ, her real love, sparing TongTong above all from the drama of broken egos of the family.
This was an Oscar Award winning episode!!! Such excellent acting I have only seen from Oscar winning actors!!! Loving you more, and more Jerry Yan!!!!😘😘😘

This series is making me do something that I haven't done for years, especially this episode, and that is cry. The acting and story line are absolutely remarkable especially Jerry Yan. I just finished his drama The Forbidden Flower and he was incredible in that drama. I think I will be binging on his works for the next little while.

When Lee Zhong Mou called Xiang Yi "paa", literally I had goosebumps. The conversation between both of them was so touching. Seriously, no matter how many times you may have arguments and misunderstanding between the family members or between a father and son, when your family needs you for help, you are bound to cone forward unconditionally. The emotions portrayed by Lee Zhong Mou as a character are bound to hit hard deep inside. I really love Jerry Yan as an actor. He justifies each and every character he plays to the fullest extent. He makes each and every character so realistic and trustworthy that the viewers are bound to think about the character for a long time even after the story ends. It's really commendable. 👏👏

When Zhong Mou said that the soup which WuTong prepared for him was sour, and WuTong said that she did not add vinegar into the soup. This is a way that Zhong Mou trying to tease WuTong for being jeolous of seeing him with his ex-girlfriend. The idiom "Eating Vinegar" is implying the person (in this context refers to WuTong) is jealous.
I got addicted to this drama series bec of a good suspenseful (will he love her for sure or not) story line that I have to keep up with each episode. Actors are terrific, well casts! 😍😍😍

Jerry is also a great father, not wanting his son to experience what he had experienced growing up with just one parent, or to have step brothers and sisters by marrying another woman. He also became a good husband, though almost broken when his brother lied about his affair with his wife.

I think I know why these dramas drive me nuts. This father is a piece of work. Just like Ms. Lee. They both neglect Zhoumou as he's growing up, mother never praised him for his accomplishments, and for 30 years, this man felt alone and unloved. They come and they think saying sorry should fix evedything. Not only do they say sorry, but because they want forgiveness, they essentially bagger the poor man day in and day out. His parents and Wu Tong. Everyone advocating for Lee Z. to forgive saying that it's good for him. You know what's good for him? Never being neglected and seeking his forgiveness and accepting that he may never give it so leave the man alone. Who is really thinking of Lee Zhoumou?
Both father and mother of ZhongMou failed him as such he suffered loneliness all these 32 years and could not love anyone. But Wu Tong came into his life to show him what motherly love is all about and cause him to open up his life to her. Wu Tong is a great support for him and a source for his strength and courage.
In this scene nice confession of a father and admitted his negligence being a father. And LZ talk all his side that he did not feel the love being a child between parents. It is really heart breaking

Father is a 100% jerk. He did not deserve Lee Z love or forgiveness. How can you totally ignore your eldest son for 32 years and NOW expect him to forgive and forget. Lee Z is the better man. But yet Li Zhong Mou starred with love looking at someone so intently and with a longing look. Who is ZhongMou starring at in love? The answer is given when his ex-girlfriend spoke that distracted ZhongMou's longing look of love for his wife Wu Tong.
LZ and his son are the only sensible people in their family. His father, half-brother and his mother always put themselves ahead of him. Whereas, his wife put everyone’s thoughts and feelings ahead of his. His wife is lucky he stood besides her as he told all of his exes where to go whenever they crossed the boundary. The potential of dying brought the father to seek his illegitimate son’s forgiveness. This is the same man who never accepted LZ as his son, who neglected him, who never spent a single day with him. Reason is because he knows XJ wouldn’t stand a chance if LZD really wanted to destroy him. This has finally brought him to his senses, something he should have done from the very day his older “illegitimate” child LZD was born.
