I find joy (and a break from work) when I take time to walk in the park near my place!
And you aren't the only one who's sobbed in public lol 😂

That is a great idea for a video BUT.... trust me you don't want to learn carving/waxing from me. 🤣 I have not waxed teeth in 7 years and when I did, I definitely had the moto of "it's good enough." I did a quick youtube search and here are 2 videos that look good and might help.

Hi Dr. Clara, You mentioned not striving for perfectionism at the expense of your mental health. However, that translates to me being a B average student. Any tips for not comparing yourself to all the student's who manage to always get straight A's when you know that that would lead to burnout for you. Like I know getting straight A's is possible for me but it would require giving up sleep, a social life, and studying nonstop.

Here are some more of my thoughts on this....
First I want to share some perspective when it comes to grades... I have been out of school for 5 years, no one has ever asked me what my grades were, and I don't remember the grades of anyone else in my class. I honestly could not tell you the names of everyone in the top 10% of our class 😂 It truly does not matter unless you are specializing. Your time is better spent learning how to be a good dentist and living your life.
But I know it is really really hard to let go of that feeling of needing straight As especially after you basically needed that to get into dental school. It is even harder not to compare yourself to others who you think are seemingly getting the straight As with little to no effort.
For the perfectionists that really really struggle with letting go of the straight As but need to because their mental health is plummeting, I sometimes suggest picking 1 class to let themselves get a B in. They have permission to study for that class a little less. Sometimes they end up with the B..... and that is okay because they choose to get the B... but more often than not they still get the A lol.
Anyways, hope my ramblings helped in some way. Good luck with your studies! 🥰
