fred smith Buffalo had a good music scene in 70s 10 years of concerts 4 every summer at Bills Stadium. Rolling Stones played here 6 times Led Zeppelin 2 times. The Producers really got some big time bands. Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Neil Young, Reo Speedwagon, The Who, The Clash, Doobie Brothers, They even got Allman Brothers & Lynyrd Skynyrd to come to Buffalo. It was cool almost every band opened saying HELLO BUFFALO. They had to stop the Concerts because fans were wrecting the Football Field. Buffalo puts on a party called WORLDS LARGEST DISCO, they invite Celebritys, 1 year all 6 BRADY BUNCH KIDS were here, Loni Anderson WKRP, FONZIE & Scott Biao HAPPY DAYS, Kristy McNichol & her brother Jimmy, Loretta Swit MASH, Country Singer LEANN RIMES, Cindy Williams LAvern & SHIRLEY, Babara EDEN I DREAM OF JEANNIE, Irene Cara movie FAME, David Cassidy Partridge Family. Its a crazy Party 10,000 fans come dressed in Disco clothes. This year will be 34 years of doing this party. Just to warn you BUFFALO is a big Drinking City

I’ve been to Buffalo a couple of times and didnt see any of this! I’m super stoked to see it next time! Cuz I’m moving there too. I’m probably be crying my first winter ❄️ but I’ll toughen up. Can’t wait to buy a snowmobile lol 😂 I did go to The falls in the winter lol and canal side. Great video

Maddie The violinist I don't wanna brag either but I consider myself a True BUFFALOIAN. I was a 70s kid BRADY BUNCH, PARTIDGE FAMILY. Grew up in North Buffalo near Delaware Park & Buffalo Zoo. Went to ST. MARKS School. ST. MARKS was not fun all nun teachers. What was fun the girls told me my IRISH Freckels were cute on my face. 8th grade had a massive crush on a girl that looked like Steavie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac. I went to a lot of concerts Buffalo had in 70s at Bills Stadium. It was cool at those concerts lots of bands opened saying HELLO BUFFALO. Had Bills seasons tickets for 10 years. I was a criminal drinking beer at age 16. Funny thing Im IRISH & I never go to ST PATS PARADE. Went to WORLDS LARGEST DISCO & All 6 BRADY BUNCH Kids were there. Worked at HALE NORTHEASTERN for 28 years. WE set up Buffalo Auto Show & Buffalo Home Show etc. I was lucky all my GF liked to party like me. GF called me James instead of Jim or Jimmy. Survied 77 Blizzard. My brother was good friends with John Rznicz GOO GOO DOOLS. IRISH PEOPLE ARE SPECIAL with our crazy sayings KISS ME IM IRISH, AN IRISH GIRL WITHOUT FRECKELS IS LIKE A SKY WITHOUT STARS, THERES A POT OF GOLD AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW & IRISH MYTHS LIKE BOYS DONT LIKE RED HAIR GIRLS & WHEN WE DIE WE COME BACK AS VAMPIRES. IRISH FOLKLORE says we get our Freckels from the sun that might be true IRISH SKIN burns easily in the sun. Sorry about all IRISH IM just Proud of my IRISH HERITAGE

gg papi I consider myself a true Buffaloian, Buffalo had a great music scene in the 70s 10 years of concerts 4 every summer at Bills Stadium, Rolling Stones liked Buffalo the played at stadium 1972,1975,1978, producers got some big bands Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Aerosmith, The Who, The Clash, Reo Speedwagon, Rush, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The crowd went crazy when Alice Cooper said HELLO BUFFALO. Had Bills seasons tickets right threw Superbowl years. It was weird drinking beer at 9am 1 bummer went to Bishop Timon High School cause my dad was a football coach it was free. I lived in North Buffalo had to take 3 City Buses to get there. Lived on Summit Ave near Darwin Martin House. Also close to Delaware Park. Played little league sports at Shoshone Park on Hertal. Always go to ST.PATS PARADE cause Im an IRISH AMERICAN. My IRISH FAMILY was May Ham. My family was like the Osmonds 8 brothers 1 sister. Mom side gave us kids 16 first cousins. My brother was good friends with John Rznizk from GOO GOO DOOLS. I married a Rodeo girl from North Dakota, I felt really guilty bringing her to Buffalo 1500 miles from her home town. I had lots of good friends that came to North Dakota for my wedding. And no ND people don't talk like that movie Fargo. My first job was a dish washer at Lombardos on Hertel Ave. Being IRISH I knew my limit with Alcohol. My IRISH FRECKELS stayed on my face till I was 25 years old. 8th grade there was a girl that looked like Steavie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac. JAMES PATRICK O'GRADY don't get more IRISH than that. not lying about 16 cousins. ERIN GO BRAGH means IRELAND FOREVER
Great video of some cool places in Buffalo. By the way, I use to work at the hostel in the video🙂. Overall, Buffalo is an affordable city, the trade off is it is a very cold and dark place for about 6 months out of the year. Definitely a fun place to visit in the summer but winter here is no joke! 🥶

If you liked St. Patrick’s Day you should really try to come back for Dyngus Day. It’s basically St. Patrick’s day, but Polish, and only in Buffalo (and to a lesser extent, Syracuse, Cleveland, and Chicago).
