- Here is my review of the blackhorse off-road atlas roll bar. It is installed on my 2017 ram 1500 Rebel. My truck has the short bed (5’7”) so having the basket up top on the roll bar adds another 2’ of storage if you’re needing more space in the bed. The basket holds 300 pounds. I’m 215 pounds and can climb up and bounce on it without any damage.
Nice video. I've been thinking about getting this bar. This answered some of my questions. It looks great!

Looks good. Id like to see the horses head on the sides facing toward the front of the truck, like it’s galloping. Other than that, I like it.

For 255 dollars, black horse would honor the warranty and send me another bracket that snapped.
You could use small black zip ties to help with the third brake light wiring. May or may not look good but it would blend in with the coloring and probably wouldn't really be all that noticeable.
But it does look badass, I been wanting one of these for my Tundra. I been looking at the Warrior Roll Bar and it's pretty much the same setup, maybe cost more too.
And please, always film with your phone horizontal and not vertical...really hard to watch without straining the neck.

Fyi people if your truck has factory or rail tracks you dont have to drill into your truck bed.
So as far as the rack goes it’s not easily removable like the tailgate extender is? Great video btw

I just installed the bar. Directions were horrible for that perfect fit. Is it suppose to be able to be lifted slightly if you are standing on the bed of the truck and just slightly lift it. Seems like the bolts were not enough and I may need to bolt it down on the top of the bed instead of the side bolts
Caleb Martin I didn’t have any issues with mine and it’s snug as a bug in my bed.
Jason Taylor I mean mine is pretty snug and tight. It’s not coming off. But what I’m saying is if you stand on the bed or the truck and you lift a little on the bar near the top of the cab break light there is a little give. Is that normal considering it’s not all wielded down. I have mine on a 2019 ford ranger. There isn’t much bed lip metal to drill threw. I was thinking maybe drilling 2 holes on ether side and getting some bolts from the hard ware store just to make it as sturdy as possible idk though.
Caleb Martin being loose up there sounds more like there’s a bolt not tightened all the way during assembly. I can stand in the basket and bounce around and it’s solid as a rock. I’m 216#
Jason Taylor Oh it’s solid if I stand on it with no issues it’s just a little loose If I try to lift the bar off the truck and it moves a few centimeters I would say but still enough to bother me and I have tightened every single bolt down as much as I could and have double checked all bolts but I assembled the Ford Ranger doesn’t seem to have enough of a lip for the bolts and I might have to get some bolts from the hardware store to be long enough and maybe create a brace to hold it down properly

Its a good-looking setup but I have no idea what I would use that top shelf for, so I'm torn on the idea
It was great when I’d go on my camping and hunting trips and the bed was full. Just a little extra storage. It actually came in handy more than you’d think
@@jasdtaylori don't camp or hunt with my truck, I actually haul/tow things. I'm looking for a roll bar to mount amber lights too honestly, those r a blessing in blizzards at night

Hey man! I have a few questions.
So I just purchased this roll bar set up for my ‘13 Ram 1500.
Did you install this yourself? Or took it to someone? And also which light bar did you go with?
Haha I know I can install the roll bar myself. But as far as the wiring for the third brake, I wouldn’t know where to start.
I’m getting ready to install mine and I’m going to try and connect the brake light to my rear top brake light wires hopefully 🙏🏻. That’s my plan and I’ll let you know when I get it finished to show what I did. 🤙
My complaint is the video is sideways and if u flip ur phone it's still side ways.

Will this stop you from putting on a roll on or trifold tonneau cover? i wanted the best of both worlds with this EXACT model bar and a tonneau cover! thank you in advance
It all depends on the size of the covers. I don’t think there would be an issue with the roll kind but tri fold might not work.

Any idea if this would work with a tonneau cover? I have a bakflip, and it kinda looks like it installs right where the cover rails are...nice vid tho.

Where do you connect your Bar light wire in the car?
You think it would work with a low profile tonnue cover ?
I’m not sure I never tried. Website says it should work but I had a low profile tool box that I had to take out because I could only open the lid maybe halfway.
Can you tell me the length of the lower brackets that fasten to the bed rail? Thanks.
