New to this and love the knowledge, I'm putting together some ideas for my rig. Thank you so much.
Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well th-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

After watching Americans and their pressure washing tips I found out that a J-Rod is like a long wand with a hook on it for doing roofs, gutters and everything hard to reach if you work from the ground
I want one of those ball valves tho. I have a 4000psi renegade pressure washer and a 20=25" surface cleaner so far. Next is a longer hose for the washer and gun and a long ass garden hose because that washer is to fkn heavy to take off my ute. But I love these videos and I'm learning a lot 👍🇦🇺

I just seen your video and to have have the male connector on the ball valve outwards for you can rinse stuff but How would i connect the surface cleaner connector if that have a male connector. how would I connected the ball valve to the service cleaner then.
Justin got the ball valve you recommended and the mosmatic swivel. I think someone stole it out my garage. Did a job and had to keep turning on and off the machine.I like that style ball valve ,which kind is that ? At 24:04 I don't understand why the soft wash pvc part is needed? Why couldn't the J-rod go straight onto the end of the wand/gun?
Is it so you have the pvc ball valve to regulate pressure and on/off? If so, why couldn't you use the ball valve and eliminate the pvc tube part?

I disagree with the choice to have the gun fittings be female just so the ball valve end can be male and use it like a large diameter nozzle. There's a better way to go about this.
I think you want the hose ends always to be female coupler because that's the part the will hit the ground and get damaged in the course of most hose abuse. Damaging the outside of the female does very little to the function of the part. It's critical bits are inside. As every man knows, the male has the sensitive bits on the outside where they are exposed. Especially if you run soft (brass) connectors instead of stainless, it's important to protect the male ends. That's easier IMO to do with the male bits on the guns and accessories. I have my compressed air system setup this way for the same reason-- outlets are female, inlets are male.
How then to setup the ball valve? This is easy. Since it has double female ports, just use a union to adapt the outlet to Sharkbite and then stick a stub of Pex in the end of the sharkbite. This stub is your disposable sacrificial "nozzle" and won't damage anything even while it's easily replaced. Even a 2" stub is plenty to work well. A couple feet of pex will last you a long time.
