I been going through the table and now these form tutorials. I like all of your tutorials as well. Granted, I haven't gone through them all yet but finished the 3 form ones. Can anyone explain or tell me where it's covered of how forms and tables interlink? Like, are the forms entered automatically go into the table dataset or are they completely seperate, and the table is just to set up the forms? I just can't help thinking of this while going through these and it's driving me crazy. Thanks!
Hi, lovely tutorial! I got a question if you don't mind. In many places there are tutorials where form is designed to enter data in to multiple tables. I try to create a form which will enter data to only one table and I got serious problem! :-) In table DevTrainings I hold ID numbers in all fields to document trainings for people on devices. The trick I wanted to achieve is to create a form which will record many trainings for one person. For that reason I marked table DevTrainings, I used "create form" button, removed everything apart from PersonID, below place for subform. I created subForm in the same way as parent but removed just PersonID leaving the rest. Sub is continuous form. I changed all fields to combos based on queries. To give choice of names instead numbers (DevTrainings is based on numeric ID's). Now sub in to parent form and... this was non-brainer in Access 2016, but at work I got 2010 version. In Access 2010, when forms are connected (parent-child) by DevTrainings.ID as suggested by Access, I got errors that values cannot be recorded to other tables - fields of my form are linked properly only to DevTrainings. When I choose parent-child form link through other fields like PersonID, then I got message that double records are going to be created. I know that there must be simple solution, but I don't see it. Please help if you can. With best wishes. T
Thank You Sir for your tutorial. I have a little problem: a number of wizards do not work in my copy of access 2010 and if I try to call any wizard two times Access crashes and restarts. what is the problem?
Do forms in Access 2010 have space limitations? I keep clicking "insert below" in my Access form to add more rows, but nothing seems to happen and now my columns and rows are over lapping one another! Can a form in Access have space limitations or can I make it as long as I want?
I have a question please . I have a project and im doing it right now . I have to false the visible of the image so if i click the command button the image will show . but the image didnt show . this is my code , Image1.Visible = True . Please answer me .
