Jagariko is a snack food, manufactured and sold by Calbee Inc. since 1995. It is once steamed and then fried and presented in a goblet. It is crunchy and crisp that you taste particular organoleptic feel. There are different flavors such as butter potatoes, Tarako (cod-eggs) with butter, scented soy sauce, green-yellow vegetables, red vegetables, etc. There are also special temporary versions, regional perfumes etc. The regular cup size is for 60g, but also the small cup size is for 30g called Mini Cup. For outlets such as railway station kiosks and sale in trains, there is a box for 45g, then for 100 yens shops, there is another size of goblet called Middle Size for 40g. I invite you to taste the Jagariko. It's very good!
Gday from Australia. Jagariko by calbee (the tub) are potato sticks. If you add boiling water to them after a few minutes you can make them into mash potatoes.
Thank you very much for your posting!
I'm glad that you have enjoyed Japanese candy!
