  • Sarabeth didn’t know what to do when she first found out she was pregnant. But instead of making a decision by herself, she found Holt-Sunny Ridge. She received unplanned pregnancy counseling and learned about open adoption.
After exploring her options, she decided that the best choice for her and her son was to make an adoption plan.
Just like Sarabeth, so many women don’t know how strong they are until they need to be.

I can only imagine how hard this must’ve been for her. I’m glad they got this perspective.

As an adoptive mother, THANK YOU! I am so thankful for my son's birthmother. You are and will always be a hero.

I gave up my daughter for adoption over 50 years ago, in the days before open adoption existed, before divorce was even common. People thought there was something wrong if a child didn't have a father, and they thought there was a weird bond if the mothger kept the baby.
I have since met my daughter and she had a good life, but I went through re-making this decsision hindreds of times. I still go over it in my mind today, but I don't see what I could have done differently.
I am glad that so many young women have a chance for an open adoption today. There is so much grief the old way, when society wanted to pretend that adoption didn't exist. A woman I know wrote a book calling birthmothers "Solomon's Mother's" and that is truly what it felt like. I did what was the best for my daughter, but I sure didn't do what was right for me. And it changed my life. It's a wound that never heals.

Absolutely girl i completely understand it took me alot of yrs to make peace with this. I'm so blessed that i placed him where he is because he is getting more than i could've ever imagined. Sounds like you have amazing good adoptive parents for this child and you are so strong its an amazing and loving thing to do. ❤

You gave your son life and you gave him the opportunity to live it, when things were hard for you.
That is beautiful, that's love. 💜 God honers that.

When he grows up she will reach out to him and he will reject her because she gave him up.

This comment was completely unnecessary. You have no idea what the full story is.

@@purposefilled-forever shut up. its clear she gave up her child. that part of the story is very clear. Based on that, and my personal experience, the child will be upset about his mother giving him up and reject her. later on in life he may forgive her, but my point is clear. now go away

F**** you! You jerk. You don't know what he feels and you don't what the situation with his mother was. Sounds pretty clear how it worked out for you. @@Jabulani926
